Did Hunter go swimming yesterday?

Yes he did! How did work this time? I talked about it for an hour that he would go swimming in the indoor pool with Papa when Papa got home. Totally worked and no drama! We are getting there! Just 4 more lessons to go and try to make it to!

And Miss G and I sat in the bleachers and watched the boys!

I planted a whole bunch of Sunflowers from seed and my first Sunflower bloomed! Isn't it pretty!

2 Blogs in 1 day, Crazy

Okay I just put some pre-made cookies in the oven and now I can blog some more. We took the kids to an outdoors concert on Thursday that Oregon City does for the month of July every Thursday some band plays and you can sit on the lawn and listen for free. The kids really liked it and I was amazed that Hunter stayed right by us the whole time and when they would stop for the next song he wanted them to keep playing. This is him when we got there the music was pretty loud and he was just getting used to it.Our sweet Miss Grace sat for the first time! She was amazed at the loud music that she planted herself down and sat for a few minutes at a time. She enjoyed hanging out outside. She loves being outdoors. These pics of her is her watching them play and her first sits! Isn't she just the cutest?!

Can you tell they are siblings? From the side they look a lot alike! Grace doing her half roll. She has rolled but isn't a fan of it. She would rather stand with assistance. Thank you very much.

Hunter is doing swimming lessons but hasn't made it to all of them due to having fits of not going and every time we try to take him I have my camera ready but we haven't made it there yet. He has been a very independent, cranky 2 year old. He does try my patience daily which is bad to say but we just haven't cracked him yet of his stubbornness. He doesn't like the word no and once he gets something in his head that he wants to do and we don't let him he gets mad and throws a fit. His new thing is saying "Hunter don't like it" to everything! Drives me crazy just hearing that saying but I am trying my best. I am definitely not a perfect parent just yesterday I had to spank him in the grocery store! He wanted a gallon of OJ and we don't even drink OJ here but he threw a fit and screamed right there by the OJ for about 5 minutes and I felt bad doing it but he wasn't listening to a word I was saying and I knew that they customers around me where just appalled by him and than me doing that but he had to learn. So basically I had to drag him kicking and screaming around Fred Meyer just for OJ and making sure he didn't get his way. I am currently reading Three Cups of Tea but my next book is The Strong Willed Child, which I should have read along time ago. I just hope Grace doesn't follow his footsteps.

This weekend we went rafting to the Deschutes. We were supposed to go from Saturday to Monday but it didn't work out that way. Hunter loved going on the raft and he did half of the trip from Maupin camp to the cut off. Corey told him to put his hands up when we went to the big rapids part of the trip and he did. We are ordering a cute picture from the rafting company of him. It even has Misha in the raft. She loves to raft and knows when the big rapids are coming. She had to be in the same raft that Hunter was in though. When Hunter saw that Ma was in the other raft he said "Hunter go in that raft" so we would let him and Misha had to follow. Long story short. Dude didn't get his nap on Saturday on the way there and he didn't eat and he went to bed late. He woke up at 4am saying Hunter don't like it and wouldn't stop and he didn't like being in the tent and was wide awake. We left the camp around 8 after he probably woke up the whole camp by his screaming and going on. He fell asleep in the car with in 2 minutes of leaving camp but Lar and I were to frazzled and embarrased by then and didn't turn around. Hunter, Grace, and Misha slept the whole way home. We all took naps in the afternoon even all the animals we were just so tired. When we go again it will just be a day trip everyday we don't care about driving or using up gas we just don't want to go through that again. No pics were taken this weekend. I didn't take my camera on the raft cause I just got it for christmas and my hands were full taking care of the kids.

Grace in her jumper watching her brother outside.He was in his new tent that we got at IKEA. Yes, we spent a few bucks there the last time we went.

Grace is in her highchair finally! She wasn't liking it for some reason. I think cause she couldn't sit up straight in it. She is eating alot now. She mostly gets fruits cause of her digestive issues but she is eating peaches, banana's, avocado, peas, squash. We are branching out. I am still making them on my own but for the rafting trip we bought store bought food which was a nice change but we are going back to making it on our own except for the exception of veggies. I broke my blender making peaches the other day so I am out a blender at the moment.Here are pics from today! I am so caught up! For some reason Misha has been laying right were Grace is. One pic is from early this am and than again after lunch. Maybe it is because Grace smells like food I don't know. She does love her kids, but she seems to like Grace alot more. She even lets her pull her hair.

Also, another nice change is Hunter is not drinking bottles! Yeah! We were almost done with those than Grace was born and since she had one he didn't understand so we gave it back. We have been 2 weeks today with not bottle! We told them that they went bye bye and are gone. He was not happy the first few days but seems okay with it now and doesn't ask for it as much. He has been drinking from sippy cups forever but liked to drink his milk in the bottle. This is him getting ready to nap today. We change to comfyies when we nap.

I think one reason he wasn't going down like his easy self is because Grace was a chatter box! Here she is talking to me.And her she is right when she fell asleep! I had to take her pic because it was such a challenge to get them both down today that I had to take a deep breathe and sigh. They are still sleeping and my cookies are done. Going to make cookie ice cream sandwhichs for later. I have no more pics to share I am all caught up! Such a nice feeling. Wish us luck today that we make it to swimming!

Catching up, again! aka very long blog w/ lots of pics!

I tell you that it has been hard to blog lately! I once again am behind in posting and blogging! I have this whole week off and now it is wednesday and I haven't gotten much accomplished except doing laundry everyday! I finally got both kids to sleep Hunter went down finally at 1:30pm and Grace at 1:45pm! Will see how long they sleep Grace already took a 2 hour am nap instead of her usual 1/2 hour power nap so I have no clue what will happen with this one cause this is supposed to be her long one.

Pretty sad I just had to look on my last blog to see what pic I posted last! On to July pictures~! Larry made the kids a sand box in the back yard. He used the boards from the previous flower boxes that the owner before us had. It took Hunter awhile to actually sit in it. He didn't want to get dirty. Must get that from me. He is used to playing with a sand box at daycare that they stand up for and it is more of a table sand box.

Swimming! Grace loves to lounge in the pool! She stayed in for about 1/2 hour in this floaty just kicking back and kicking her feet and chewing on whatever we gave her. She loves the water!

This is our water boy. He also loves water. He started off with all these floaties and by the end of the pool time he was only in his life jacket having a great time!

Beware of Grace in the walker! She started walking in this at the beginning of the month and she is all over! Gotta love the hardwood floor!

My attempt at 6 month pictures of Grace. She wasn't happy with me when I was taking them so I didn't use them. I don't think I even caught a smile.

Here is what the backyard is looking like. Larry changed the retaining wall from wood to cement blocks and put the leftover dirt in that area. We haven't done alot more than putting the cement blocks around the right side or I should say Larry has. I am at a standstill with helping cause all I do is watch the kids and give ideas.

Big boy bed! Attempt #2! When I was pregnant with Grace we tried to put Hunter in this big boy bed and it didn't work. We were more excited to put him in it and we were just trying to do it to make it easier for us not Hunter. We learned a lesson by it. So 2 weeks ago we went to IKEA and got this leaf and told Hunter he could sleep under his leaf tent. It worked! He goes to sleep great and sleeps the whole night and we either have to wake him up to go to daycare or he wakes up around 7-8:30am. It is awesome! He hasn't walked out of it until today. For some reason he wasn't ready to go in it and I was trying to get Grace down and he comes walking out of his room saying Hunter okay. Which means that he hurt himself and fell out of the bed. Poor thing but all he need was kisses all over him and he was good and climbed back in bed and feel asleep. The first picture is of him sleeping that first night. I had to take a picture!

Grace loves his bed. This is her sleeping in his new sleeping bag that we got him that day. We were getting ready to get him prepared for camping/rafting in the next week.

This is one of the bins that I also got at IKEA for his toys but he and Lar both put them on their heads and neither one saw the other do it. My boys are crazy. Doesn't Hunter look quizzical in this picture?

Grace has moved to the big tub! She loves it cause she can splash! Hunter joined her and cleaned her hair for us. And for some reason he hasn't wanted to take baths or showers since. Not sure if it is because he knows Grace goes in it now or what. Drama I tell you! You'll notice that Hunter has black eye and forehead. He got that during 4th of July weekend. He can tell you how he did it and he will say Hunter fell Nana floor. Basically, he fell off her dining room chair and hit his head on the other hard wood dining room chair than hit the hardwood floor. He survived and all was well. Needless to say no pictures were taken of him on 4th of July. He wasn't to excited at first about the fireworks they scared him cause he wasn't ready for them and it was late at night for him. Grace liked them and fell asleep great. Misha wasn't as scared this year but wanted to stay inside the house under Hunter's crib when we had it still up. But that is an improvement for her! She wasn't shaking like a leaf this year.

Catching up on my pictures!

These pictures are from June I am very behind! The boys tented on the porch one night. We were trying to see how Hunter would do sleeping in a tent since we are going rafting. He slept the whole night and was a little scared when he woke up and didn't know where he was. Here is a picture the next morning of the boys in the tent and than of Hunter still sleeping in the tent and it was 9am! The boys didn't fall asleep until after 10pm the night before because we had him go out at 9pm and he was just to excited to fall asleep right away so they played with the flashlight for an hour. The picture of Grace is when we were waiting for the boys to get up since we were up at 6:30am!

Later that morning since both boys had shaggy hair Lar decided that Hunter could cut his. Hunter had a great time and here is his handiwork!

Hunter got his haircut after but we didn't take pictures of that. Isn't Lar so brave? The next two pics are taken at Annie's and we got a cute one of both kids and than of goofy Hunter with his Bam Bam shirt.

That takes care of June! I already have taken alot of pics for July. Alot is happening! Grace is rolling and cruising all over in her walker, she is eating alot of new foods, she took her first bath with Hunter in the bath in the bathroom yesterday and loved it, and is still sweet and calm as can be! I will try to post those tomorrow!

Grace's 6 month stats!

She is slowing catching up with her brother. I found out today that yes Grace's head is growing big. It has grown 1 inch since her 4 month check! That's alot of growth for a tiny little girl! So here are her measurements:

Weight~15.5 lbs (Hunter's was 20.4 lbs)
Height~24 inches (Hunter's was 28.3 inches)
Head Circumference~ 17.3 inches (Hunter's was 18.8 inches)

There you go, basically the doctor told me that Grace also will be taller than Larry and I. Great! Both of our kids are going to be tall!

6 months old!

Grace turned 6 months yesterday! My baby is getting so big! I will try to blog more later and I got alot of pics to show you all since I haven't blogged in forever. Here are a couple of pics of my cute little peach!
