Memorial Day weekend!

It was a nice time hanging with the boys from Friday to Monday! We had a good time of resting and vegging. Hunter and I did not get strep! Yeah! We hypernated at home on Friday and Saturday went and did errands finished projects and rested! Sunday we visited family and I got to meet Larry's Uncle from Ohio. He is very nice and looks alot like Lonnie. Monday, we vegged at home and had dinner early at 6 which is rare here so we had time to kill before putting little dude down so we went and visited my dad. Hunter was all over the place at his house he was in his full gotta touch everything mood. I didn't take many pics on these days until Monday. Crazy I know. On Monday, I had cleared up the laundry room and organized my shelving unit and the boys went to go get storage boxes for me while I piled everything on the kitchen table while they went. Hunter loves the laundry room so I had to keep him out so I could walk back and forth with all my junk so the boys going to the store was a way to accomplish this. Here are pics of Hunter playing with the bins. Of course the cats had to be a part. I had plastic easter eggs that were in the laundry room mess so I put them in the bin with him. He loved it! The other pics are of him playing with his toys. His new thing is to walk with two things at once. He gets frustrated when they dont' go the way he wants them to go. Total boy!

Day 2: Who else will get strep?

I think that Hunter and I have great immune systems! We still don't have strep! Yeah! Hunter still was cranky and slept long naps but maybe it is just his 4 teeth coming in. We had a nice day today. This morning we went to a coffee shop at the end of the hill than played at a park that is across the street. After Hunter's am nap we tried to go to the zoo for the second half of the zoo that we haven't seen but we had to be detoured because the parking lot was full and the shuttle was at the next exit so we drove on. I finally finished pulling weeds and planting my last three plants in the ground. I did some scrapbooking and journaling in some books that I got from family. Larry put up stuff on the wall that I have been asking him to do. So I got alot of projects done that I have been trying to get done the last few weeks. I didn't take any pics today just wasn't in the mood I guess.

Day 1: Who else will get strep?

So far Hunter and I don't have strep! Yeah! But Hunter took two 3 hour naps today and he has been cranky! He drank 20 oz of his bottle between naps! Thirsty dude! And went to bed early to his second nap cause he was cranky! Signs of strep? Not sure! Larry didn't have a fever and Hunter doesn't either! I slept 2 of the 3 hours of both naps so I am getting my much needed rest! But no sore throat here. I got my haircut! Finally! No more shag! Yeah! That is all I have done today. Slept, play with the boys, get haircut, and sleep more! Nice relaxful day! Will see what the evening brings! Last night Hunter woke up screaming at 1 am and ended up sleeping in our bed (which is a first) and feel asleep around 4 am that is why I napped so well today. Hope tonight is not a repeat if so Hunter is going in to Urgent care for a strep check tomorrow! Hope you all had a great friday!

Busy week!

I haven't had a chance to blog all week sorry everyone! It has been a busy week! Here are some pics of our week! Larry and Hunter went swimming in the big pool! Hunter stayed in a little longer this time but still wasn't to sure about it.

Hunter got a buzz cut haircut! With a razor we bought for home no more spending money on haircuts! We used a size 5 since that is what other friends had told us they use on their little guys and it is very short but he looks cute! We haven't seen this much forehead since he was born! His hair is actually turning red! It is strawberry blonde right now! His eyebrows are turning red too! This is him the next day taking a bath! He has a bruise on his forehead from some fall. He is such a boy and has bruises to prove it! Sorry about the nakedness!

This wednesday my mother had her retirement celebration at CCC! She has worked there 30 years and retires July 1st. Congrats Mother! She didn't know that I was coming to see her speech cause the program started at 2pm and Hunter goes down for his nap at 1pm. So she wasn't expecting me but her friend gave me the scoop of the time and place of where it was being held. Larry was able to get the afternoon off to watch Hunter while he slept and I went to the program. She was very suprised and didn't expect me at all. It was a nice program! Congrats Mother for working so hard and hope retirement is alot of fun! Here is her giving her speech. Kinda dark sorry I didn't get any close ups.

Larry actually wasn't feeling good tuesday night he had a sore throat and a bad headache. So he slept while Hunter slept when I went to CCC. He wasn't feeling any better this morning so he saw the doctor I work for and he has strep! I tell you Larry is a walking bacteria! Larry and I both took of tomorrow (friday) cause daycare is closed. Larry's Uncle from Ohio is coming over for a visit and flies in tonight. Larry and I were gonna go to the Zoo and finish the second part but now that Larry is sick and contagious we are gonna hang low. So that has been my week. Swimming, haircuts, retirement suprises, and strep! Hope everyone elses is going well! This last picture is our secret lovers! Larry took it today when he was home. Misha and Kramer slept by each other for over an hour! We always knew the loved each other they just don't show it all the time! Cross your fingers that Hunter and I don't get strep!

Hunter likes to ride in his lego bus. It is not meant for him to ride in but he does cause that is what boys do! He is gettng to be such a ham! I actually got some cute smiling pictures out of him! He is so handsome! We are gonna buzz his hair today so well see what he looks like after that! His hair grows so fast I can't keep up with it and get it professionally done so were gonna try to save money and do it ourselves! Cross your fingers that it comes out ok! I also figured out that I wasn't using the bigger setting for these pics so now you get bigger pics! Yeah!

Larry picked up Hunter early on friday cause Annie and Lonnie had to go to a wedding. Lar cleaned up Misha's old pool and put on Hunter's trunks and he had a great time in the pool! Lar said his hair looked red in the sun! Oh no! I think his hair is gonna be strawberry-blonde when it is all done trying to figure out what color to be!

Fun day!

Larry had a sleep study test last night and he took Wednesday off just in case he didn't get much sleep from being wired up. He ended up with a C-PAP machine. Poor guy! He said that the tech's told him he woke up or stopped breathing 55 times in 2 1/2 hours! So they woke him up and put the machine on him and he slept like a rock until 6:30am! They were gonna wake him up at 6 but he was in such a deep REM sleep that they didn't want to bug him. So now we have a machine! I hope I can get some sleep with it! I will keep you posted! Since Larry was home we had been talking about going to the Zoo for awhile! We just wanted to go just the two of us with Hunter for his first trip to the Zoo! I had to wake up Hunter from his am nap because he was already sleeping 3 hours and it was already 11! We had to hit the road cause he had a doctor's appt at 3:15 for bum skin issues! So we were Zoo bound!

We didn't see all of the zoo we will go back another day. We had to head to Canby for his doctor's appt and he took a short nap in the car. Poor guy only got an hour nap and we kept him up the rest of the day. After dinner we went and took Misha to Clackamette Park and did some more packing! Misha wanted to chase after the ducks in the water but realized she is short. That was our Wednesday! We had a nice and fun time and it was the perfect weather to go to the zoo!

I got the chance to hang with Hunter this evening by myself cause Larry is doing a study so I finally took some pics of Hunter since I haven't all week and weekend. Crazy, I know! He is in his new 24 month shark/lobster/and dolphin pajamas! Don't they look cute with the shark logo! Let me tell you that it is hard to find 24 month long sleeve with footies right now! I love them so but it is just the wrong season I guess! Hope everyone is well! During my evening of veggie with Hunter he has officially learned how to climb on both of the couches! Nice, huh! I can't turn my back at all now. He can turn on the TV and VCR and watch his movie all by himself.

Hunter is gonna have a cousin! Lindsey is pregnant! Hey! She is due around Dec 11th! Congrats to you both! We are SUPER excited! More kids in the family! Yeah!

Mother's Day

Yesterday was my pre-mother's day cause I got the most pampered on Saturday. We woke up early cause Hunter did and his first nap he only slept 45 minutes. He was cranky with me in the am and I was probably up to my 20th "No" and so Larry took him for a secret 2 hour trip while I did projects that are hard to do with mover grover Hunter. I cleaned up, folded laundry, finished a book I was reading, planted some flowers in pots, and dug weeds out of our veggie bed. It is amazing what you can get done when you don't have an active one year old attached! The boys came back from the mall and they got me a pair of Crocs for me for mother's day so I can wear them at work! Total suprise! They also made me a monkey from the Build a Bear store. For some reason I don't think it is for me but for another little monkey in the family! Hunter is getting used to it because Larry had the store put in a monkey sound in the arm so he isn't used to the sound yet. Than my mother came over after lunch and we went to get our nails done and get a pedi/mani treatment in the OC that was my gift to her. We went to the nail place and they had the "deluxe" pedicure or the "general". The deluxe was a little bit more than I could spend so my mother paid the difference and treated me to the "deluxe". It involved exfoliating lotion, mud paste, hot towels, and hot rocks. Let me tell you that I was just ready for a normal pedicure so I shaved my legs that am and my "deluxe" was pretty painful but in the end it was nice. The exfoliating lotion burned and stung and the hot towels were very hot and the rocks at first burned but once everything cooled down it was relaxing. My mother and I have pretty toes and fingers and it was a nice time to relax and hang with my mother. Happy Mother's day Mother! I came home after 2 1/2 hours of "spa treatment" and Hunter was still sleeping and he slept for over 3 1/2 hours! Larry had to go to PSU for an alumni party that evening so it was just me and Hunter. We played with the monkey and he gave it loves and I think he is starting to like it. I tried to get pics of him giving it loves but once he saw the camera it was game over! We had a good time hanging out together. He was tired before 9 so I put him to bed early and vegged and watched some TV! We woke up Sunday am and the boys went to get me Starbucks for Mother's day. It has been a nice and pleasant 2nd Mother's day! Hope everyone else has a great Mother's day even if you are or are not one enjoy the nice sunny day!

14 months today!

Wow! I can't believe how time is flying in the life of Hunter! I got to spend the day with him cause Grandma Annie is sick and I just realized he is 14 months today! Crazy! No wonder he took VERY long naps he was growing and saving his energy for the next few months!

Happy Birthday Larry!

Today Larry's turns 34! Yeah, Happy Birthday to you Lar! I made the mistake and said he was turning 33 last week and I was told! It is also Lindsey and Corey's 3rd(?) year anniversary! Congrats guys! They are the only people I remember cause they got married on Lar's bday, which makes it easy! Congrats also to my mother and Wayne cause they got married around his bday also! Our day started early Hunter woke up at 5 am! I gave him his bottle around 5:15 and than put him back in bed because I didn't want to wake up and he went back to sleep. Pretty selfish, I know but I get up to go to work at 5:30am and I just wanted to sleep in. Hunter slept until we woke him up at 7:45-8ish! Larry went to work and I chilled with the little dude. So we took pictures to send to you all and Hunter was sitting on our small couch and reading books, playing with his airplane, and saying "Papa" cause I told he we were taking pictures for Papa! Our day is starting late Hunter routinely goes down for a nap at eight but we are two hours behind so he just went down and will see how the rest of the day goes. Hunter and I our gonna see Lar for lunch if it isn't to late in the day! I tried to use Photobucket to send pics but it wasn't working for me so here is some pics!

It has been a busy week with family and friends. My mother visits on Wednesday's so last wednesday I took some pics of her and Hunter. Than after Hunter's four hour afternoon nap we went to visit Grandpa Gary! So here are pics of them!

So that was our week in a nut shell. I didn't post any pics on Wednesday cause I was chillin' with the folks and Hunter took a long nap and I didn't get much done even though he slept along time! We celebrated Lar's bday (which is this wednesday the 7th) this weekend. Hung out with friends and family Saturday night and woke up and had breakfast with my mother, Wayne, and my Aunt Joanne and than celebrated Cinco de mayo at Chris and Allison Etzel's and hung out with friends! Thanks everyone who remembered Larry's bday and it was good to see alot of people we hadn't seen since last summer!
