Info about Miss G!

While she is sleeping I will give you a little scoop about what she is up to. She grunts just like Hunter did but much more and a lot louder! On Friday, she weighed in at 7lbs 5oz she has gained 1 lb in 3 weeks. I think she is going to be slow grower, which is fine with me. When she wants to eat she wants to eat now and will use her lungs! She loves to kick her chicken legs. She doesn't like blankets on her at all and she doesn't want her arms covered because she has to move them! She likes to lay on her side. When you change her diaper she loves to pee when you don't have a diaper on her and she pees all the time! Hunter never urinated this much on his changing pad! I clean it and change it more than her clothes. We still don't know what color her eyes are. Some days I think definitely blue but than they go all dark again. She still has alot of hair but is starting to thin. She loves baths but hates the part where she is naked and has to be lifted up in the air to get to the bathtub. She kinda super freaks with her arms and starts to scream but once her bum hits the water she is all better. She wakes up almost every 2 hours at night and can sleep 3 hour stretches during the day, go figure. I think that is all I can think of at the moment. She still is in premie clothes but I am starting to put her in 0-3 months clothes cause I want to! She is swimming in some of them but at least she has something new on.

Info on Hunter

I haven't blogged much about what Hunter is up to! He is growing like a weed he stands up to my hips. I swear he has grown an inch in the last week. Some days his hair looks reddish and than the next it is blonde. He talks non-stop. Sometimes you can understand him and sometimes he uses his own words but you can tell what he wants. He is a neat freak! He will pick up dirt or a speck of something off the floor and give it to you or put it in the trash. He always wants to "I help" which he helps with everything you do. His new thing is to help Larry "feed fishes" at night. He "feed Isha" which is feed Misha everyday he looks at her bowel and if it is empty he gets her more food. He loves ice cubes in his drinks except the ones with milk those he wants "hot" warmed up in the microwave. He is down to one nap and sleeps up to 3.5 hours at home sometimes less at daycare. He has been getting up in the middle of the night since I came home from the hospital I think he hears Grace or he is checking to see if Larry and I are really home since we have left him. He used to sleep the whole night through not so much anymore. Hopefully that goes back to what it used to be like. Last night he did pretty good. He loves pasta and could eat it everyday and every meal. He can even say pasta. He is going through his terrible two's right now and loves to scream which I hope changes soon! He is ok with Grace doesn't really care much about her. He notices her the most when I am nursing her and he says "Race eat" and has to check. Hopefully I am not subjecting him to anything with that. He gives her loves and knuckles when asked to and if her pacifer is out of her mouth he proceeds to put it back even though she is sleeping. He means well. Hunter amazes me every day and is a smart little cookie! Well, I gotta jet Larry got home but I will blog about Grace next when I have a chance.

Snuggles, Mama Misha, and a rare picture taken of the cats!

Here are some random pics from the weekend. I did'nt take any of Hunter it might be cause he was screaming at me. I think he is getting better but he still pretends not to listen so we got to get through that stage also. Baby steps I guess.

5 ounces!

Grace had her 2 week check yesterday and she has gained 5 oz! She is 6lbs 10oz! I can't believe that she is still not growing at a fast rate like her brother did. She is still wearing the same premie clothes that family got her after she was born. Hunter never wore the same thing twice. I like that she is staying tiny makes me feel like I have a baby longer. Hunter never stayed a baby he was in 3 months clothes by 4 weeks. I will just enjoy my small little mouse. Here are some pics of Hunter being in a place he wasn't supposed to be! I had told him no all day and he was on Lar's watch while I was changing Grace's diaper and he got into the jumper thing! Here are pictures of Grace not sleeping in her carseat!

No Canada!

Larry found out this week he doesn't have to go back to Canada for his work! He was supposed to go for most of the month of February that is why we wanted Grace to come around her due date and not later. This is a blessing and a bummer. Blessing cause I don't have to take care of the kids on my own for 22 days especially now when Hunter is going through his terrible two's and is in the screaming phase. Not a fun one let me tell you. Poor Misha doesn't know what to do when he screams. Grace has been good but her little bowels aren't happy and she grunts and complains most of the early am from either her 2:30 am or 5:30 am feeding and it is hard for her to go back to sleep quietly and it wakes up Hunter which makes him mad and screams for an hour so when I heard the news that Larry was staying home I was relieved. Bummer part is that we were going to use the extra money for my maternity leave and use it so I could stay home with Grace the whole 3 months. Not gonna happen now. I used up over a weeks worth of my almost 3 weeks saved up of vacation for my maternity leave with the lovely snow storm so it looks like I will be going back to work sooner than later. Oh well. At least we tried. I don't think Grace will even know her mother didn't stay home with her. So that is the scoop on Canada.

She looks like her brother!

~Grace the day she was born~

~Hunter the day he was born~
~Grace's first week home~
~Hunter's first week home~
You can't tell they are siblings right?

Grace is 1 week old!

Time sure does fly when you have kids especially two and one of them being sick! Today is Grace and I's first offical girls day! Hunter went to daycare and Larry is working. I am getting things checked off my list and getting naps when she does! Yeah! Here are some pictures from the week.
We put her in her carseat cause she is so small and she sleeps in it. We did the same with Hunter cause he was so snuggly and warm in it. This picture was taken before her first outing which was just sitting in the car cause Hunter started puking before we left the driveway. We all got out and the wild fever night began.

All snuggled again. We have to swaddle her arms in cause they are her worst enemy. She moves them so much that she can't go to sleep with them being out! Between hiccups and her hands it is hard to get her to go back to sleep in the wee hours of the night but I am slowly figuring it out, I think.

Her first sponge bath. She loved it! Not she was so mad as you can see.

My little family. Hunter is wearing a Tshirt to keep cool this was taken during the sickness. Notice Grace's hands! Up and moving! I like Lar's smile in this cause he looks happy and I don't know what Hunter was doing but he mostly is the photogenic one.

My little man! He is all better! Lucy is in the background catching some much needed Z's

Grace's birth story

Sorry everyone it has been kinda crazy around here! Hunter ended up getting sick on us Sunday night with puking and a high temp that he ended up going with Larry to the ER with 104.1 temp because he wouldn't take meds. They forced them down his throat and sent him home and he had a viral infection. Today was his first day of no fever and so tomorrow he gets to go to Grandma's for daycare so I can get some much needed sleep! Taking care of him in the wee hours of the night and feeding Grace I haven't closed my eyes much in the evening and than Hunter wouldn't take great naps so I could try to sleep than. Larry also felt pukey and we both had low grade temps but no other signs of sickness. Thank goodness!

So here goes about Grace! I went to my doctor's appt on Wednesday and my appt was at 4:50pm but we didn't see her until 5:30pm. She said I was up maybe 1 cm on my belly measurement and that I probably should have weekly ultrasounds to check the fluid. Once she said this I said can we talk about what she thought about delivery her and gave her the scoop about Larry and Canada again. She was all for inducing the next day! I thought she rocked and she said that Grace would grow better outside since she wasn't growing much in me. She checked me out and I was 2-3cm! So she stripped my membranes, sorry so much info but it goes with what happens next! She looked at her schedule and she couldn't do induction until Wednesday the 14th but we were good with that since it was only a week away. We left the clinic and I tell you that ever since she messed with my membranes I could feel every contraction that I wasn't feeling before at least I thought they might be contractions! We went to the mall and let Hunter play in the kids play structure and walked the whole mall to let Hunter get some freedom from the house and I was having contractions the whole time and made Larry slow down numerous times but I thought they would go away! Hunter thank goodness fell asleep good for bedtime and Larry went to work out and it was around 9:30pm and I was still having contractions and they were getting a little bit more heat to them. Larry came home and we went to bed around 10:30pm. I couldn't sleep but once Larry put on his C-Pap machine he was out. I laid there tossing a turning and counting minutes through the contractions and they were from 2-4 min and lasting only 25-30 sec. I finally gave up and called the birth place around 2:30pm cause I wasn't getting any relief and I didn't know if the contractions were Braxton Hicks or what since I never had them with Hunter. The RN said that I was just having pains from the stripping and to take a bath and drink lots of water and if the contractions were 45-60 sec in length than to call. So I did the bath thing and I was in it for maybe 5 min and it made the contractions worse and I heard Hunter ask for his fishes projector to be put on the ceiling I had woke him up from the running water! Mind you the door is closed and I was trying to yell for Larry to wake up to get Hunter to go back to sleep but he didn't hear me cause he was sleeping so soundly! I got up and turned on the fishes and Hunter went back to sleep and by this time it was 2:30am and I finally woke up Larry to help me count through the contractions and they were more painful. By 4:00am they were maybe 30-45 sec in length and were 2-4 min apart than they would be 20-30 sec and I wasn't getting any relief and they were getting worse. This time Larry called the Birthplace and he told them just like I did that Hunter came fast he was induced and it that happened at 7am and I was 10cm by 11:00 and had him at 2:24pm so they said to come in! Why does it take Larry to tell them and they say I can come! Anyways, we called my mother who came to stay with Hunter while he was sleeping and she got there around 4:45am and Hunter woke up with all the lights being on and Larry and I were at the hospital by 5:00am. The contractions were worse from all the walking to the car and driving and by the time I was walking the hall to the room they were going to check me in I had to stop and tell the lady to wait until the contraction was done. Mind you they say you can't talk or walk through contractions so I just know the RN thought that I was just a Braxton hixer. I got on the table and she hooked me up and I had a contraction and it was a dozy. When it was done she said it didn't show up on the machine and where exactly my pain was! I thought I was going to die right there! I thought are you telling me this isn't contractions and you are sending me home! She said that she would have to check me to see how far I was and I had told her that I was 2-3cm at the clinic. It was so painful when she checked and I was going through a contraction at the time and she said oh there is a contraction showing up on the machine! Thank God! She couldn't tell how far along I was after trying for a few minutes and mind you it was so painful I wanted to climb off the table. Another RN came in and she checked and it wasn't as bad and it wasn't during a contraction. I was 7.5cm! I had to ask her to repeat that and what it meant cause I had my epidural at 3cm with Hunter and I know that I have to get to 10cm! They said did you want your epidural for the pain cause you gotta get it now or you will not have time for it and I said yes. I had to ask her what she meant about time and she said she wouldn't be surprised if Grace came before 8am and the other RN said even sooner maybe 7:30am! At this time I was freaking out cause everything started going fast. I think it took maybe 15-20 min later and I got my epidural and the pain went away. Thank God for epiderals! I can't remember the timing after this but the RN was going to call the on call doctor to let her know that I was there and that she needed to come in and break my water and get things going. The RN was going to do some charting to and she wasn't gone maybe 10 minutes and my water broke! I was so scared cause I knew once my water broke the RN had said things would move very quickly since Grace wasn't big. I made Larry go get the RN I didn't even think to push the button. She came back and checked and I was 10cm and Little Miss was right there! She said not to cough or doing any pushing. By this time I am shaking like a leaf from it all. She had to go call my actual doctor who lived closer to come in and the whole time she was gone I thought for sure that Grace was going to come right out with just only me and Larry in the room. When she came back I didn't want her to leave but she had to set the room up and she left the door open just so I wouldn't freak out. My doctor came in a little bit after 7:00am and she said if I didn't have the epidural I would have probably have had Grace sooner! I can't remember how many pushes I did maybe 6-7 and Grace was born at 7:21! So there you have it! I got to the hospital at 5am and I have her 2 1/2 hours later. Would not have thought/believed it would have gone that quickly! If Larry hadn't of called we might have had her at home cause I just wasn't sure what contractions were and if I was just a wimp with them. I am glad it is all over and overjoyed that she came as quickly as she did. The only person who knew we were at the hospital was my mother we didn't call/text the rest of the family until after 6 am and when I was at 10cm we texted/called but I think that family was just as amazed as we were that she was here! She is a tiny peanut with lots of jet black/brown hair and she has side burns on her cheeks and her hair goes past her neck in the back! Neither Larry or I have this hair color not sure exactly who she is getting it from. After a couple of hours after she was born she started to look like Hunter when he was born. She still looks like Hunter today so I have a little mini Hunter with tons of hair! She is a cutie and her eyes are dark right now but I think that they will be big blues like Hunter. I will post pictures tomorrow for you all.

Little Miss's arrival!

We went to our OB appt today and saw my regular doctor and I am up from 31 to 32 in measurement but she said she was pushing the 32 but I did gain some weight. She said we would have to have weekly ultrasounds to check to make sure there was enough fluid for Little Miss and I had to tell her about Larry going to Canada again soon and that I wasn't too excited about hearing that Little Miss was measuring at a due date of the 26th cause it was to close to him leaving again so I wanted to talk to the doctor about that and get her opinion. My doctor is so awesome! She says that my due date isn't changing and is the 16th and since I am already at 38 weeks that we can have her come now! Yeah! She even said if she had time she would see if we could even go to the hospital tomorrow and get induced! But after looking at her schedule and the hospital we have Little Miss coming by induction next Wednesday the 14th! If the hospital doesn't get full that is but the doctor thinks we are good since she told them that I needed the bed cause Little Miss is small but she isn't concerned about her. She wants her to come out so she can start growing outside instead of all this wondering why she and I am not. I am also at 2-3 cm and she stripped my membranes. Sorry so much detail but ever since she did I have felt my contractions! Not sure I am going to like a week worth of contractions but maybe Little Miss will come before than anything is possible! That is the scoop! Hoping for a quick delivery with her since I wasn't this far in cm with Hunter I wasn't at any and I was induced at 7 am and was at 3 cm by 9 am got my epideral after 15 minutes of pain and 10 cm by 11am and had him at 2:30pm! I am excited about the induction even though it is painful I know what happens I don't know what happens with contractions for hours and then going in so will see what happens. Just letting you all know that we have a date, hopefully, and if we can't get into the hospital on wednesday will try again for the next few days but at least we know she will be here next week!

Misha turns 3!

Today is Misha's 3rd Birthday! I don't know what that is in dog years but she sure acts older and is more lazier so it must be her teens. She has been very good with Hunter and is a good protector. A little info about Misha. She has many names. We call her Misha J. Rae Robinson. The J is cause Larry wanted to name his kids just J and I wasn't going to do it. The Rae is from the Robinson side. All the kids have Ray/Rae as their middle names and we didn't follow with tradition with our kids just Misha. We also call her MJ for Misha J. So there you go. Here are pictures of her when she was little and now. I took pics today of her but I can't figure out how to download them yet on my new camera! Soon I will figure it out!

Also, we are down to +/- 2 weeks left until Little Miss comes! I have been eating so much junk food for growth that my poor cholesterol is going to be sky high! Larry also let me get a new bedspread set for our bed that I have been wanting to get forever! We haven't had a bed set since we lived downtown and I have wanted a bed skirt for our bed forever to hide the clotter and make our bedroom halfway decent and since Little Miss will be in our room more people will probably come through. So I got another Christmas gift a bed set. I felt bad cause we have been looking at department stores for 2 weeks looking for the perfect one and we ended up going to Target the first place and getting one. Larry isn't into shopping in this department but Hunter and him were troppers! I also have before and after pictures of our room to show it off just have to download.
This is the first picture we took of Misha when we were at the shelter seeing her for the first time. We thought she was going to be a shepherd/husky dog. We were wrong! She is more shelty/corgi. But we love her! Isn't she so small?! Here are more puppy pictures!

Here is her growing and we still haven't figured out yet what type of dog she is since her legs haven't grown much in length

I love this picture cause the duck is so much bigger than she is!

This is Mish now! Such a big girl! She loves to raft and lounge around all day with the cats!

New Years Eve

Lar and I went to bed before the New Years. We were tired and we are just getting old. I think we made it to 11pm. Lar was crashed and I had a hard time falling asleep cause I was paranoid that I wasn't getting much movement out of Little Miss that it took me awhile to feel comfortable going to sleep. I did not sure how long though cause than I heard the fireworks, which Misha isn't a fan of them and she wasn't in her kennel and I had to find her in the house she was hiding and was shaking like a leaf. I put her into bed with me and she was shaking and panting like a crazy dog. She finally settled down about 1am and than Hunter woke up at 1:30am and was saying fishes! He wanted his projector light on that has fishes on it. Well the projector has music and a timer and I would set it for 15 minutes and go to bed hoping he would fall back to sleep with it not the case. He finally fell asleep around 2:30am and I can't remember how many times I got up to turn it on I finally got smart and set it for 30 min. I just can't sleep with the music on so I was hoping each time I did it he would fall asleep. He was quite when it was on but as soon as it turned off I kept hearing fishes! Through all this I couldn't sleep and Larry was sound asleep! Hunter tried to wake up at 5:30am but I wasn't even wanting to get out of bed so I feel back to sleep and thank goodness he did too until 7:30am! Yeah! So I guess I was up for the New Years just was busy and not sleeping.

We had a nice relaxing day of vegging and doing housework. I kept thinking it was Wednesday and I will probably be confused the rest of the week. Today, Hunter and Larry went to get Hunter a potty seat! Hunter knows the word potty and goes with us in the restroom and flushes the toilet for us. Sorry if this is to much info but whatever works to get him to potty himself! Anyways, he seems to have been more interested in it lately so when we took him to his bath we put the new seat on the toilet and we know that the bath water makes him go so we put him on the seat and he went! We tried to make a big deal and even let him get some toilet paper which he loves to do! It is a start so we will keep doing it every time we turn on the bath water to get him rolling with potty training. Hopefully it isn't to early for him but he seems interested so we will try. He is such a big boy now!

OB appt

Yesterday, Lar and I went to our appt and my mother stayed home to watch Hunter during his nap which was a good thing! Thank you mother! My OB doc is on vacation this week so I saw Lindsey's doc instead. We were there 3 hours! He was nice and thorough and since my last two ultrasounds were showing differences about Little Miss's growth he wanted to do an ultrasound himself. We waited awhile which was fine with me and than once again went through another ultrasound but this wasn't painful thank goodness! He got the same measurements as the last one so she is behind in her measurements and measuring at a due date of Jan 26th. But he said the results could be +/- 3 weeks so she can be born still around her original due date on the 11th. She is around 5.7-7.1 lbs. I am hoping for her not being in the 5 lb range. Am I bummed with the news, kinda but he said she was with in normal limits just maybe on the small side but he wasn't too concerned. So I am gonna trust him. Her heart rate was low on the ultrasound and it could have been that I was on my back, but I also had noticed she wasn't as active that whole afternoon and wasn't in the doctor's office like she usually is so he wanted me to be hooked up to a fetal monitor. These usually take about 20 min but it took us an hour! She just wasn't moving and they need two good movements with positive reactions in her heartbeat. They gave me juice and made me turn on my sides which was nice cause my hips were getting stuck laying on my back. The doctor came in and worked with the machine also poor guy he was pretty much doing everything. I think he will remember us since I was such a drama patient for him. Long story short we were there till closing and the doctor had a nurse bring us plates of food they had from some lunch for New Years! I have never been given food at an appt and it was very nice of him to think of us being hungry and offering us some. It was very yummy. And he finally saw what he wanted to see on the readings and let us go! He was very close to having me go into the hospital and being put on the fetal monitor there and see what she would do since she was sleeping and not wanting to be disturbed. So there you go. We didn't have a New Years baby like Lar wanted for taxes but that is all good I just want her to grow more so she can come out nice and healthy like her brother! Will see what my doctor says next week.
