Big weekend!

Warning! Lots of pics in this blog! On Friday, Larry got his geology state tests results back for his GIT (Geologist in training) it is a test that geologist should take and he passed! He didn't study much so I was worried and the week he took it was when he started getting sick and Hunter turned one so alot went on! But anywho, he passed! Yeah! Good job dude! It has been a nice weekend so far but Hunter is teething trying to get those molers through! Not fun! He also has a runny nose and sneezing I think he is getting his dad's allergies! Poor dude! He was grumpy in the morning wanted to be outside but than would drain and sneeze. Larry went and got some gravel to cover the "plumbing issue" hole since we have to set that project aside until we can pay for it. Now we don't have a hole in the driveway, which is very nice! Larry did alot of projects outside and it looks alot better! Hunter and I went to go get Larry's meds and some lunch and came home to the cats on the porch! We used to do this at the Garden Home apartment and we had them on leashes and we netted the small porch we had but than Lucy knocked it down and tried to find a new life in the wilderness so we stopped letting them go outside! So that was two years ago so this was their first treck on the deck! They were alittle scared but stayed on the porch. When Hunter went down for his afternoon nap he slept over three hours! Tired little buddy! He was cranky during dinner wouldn't eat anything so we went packing! Which he loves! He knows the word and knows what the pack is when Larry brings it out! We went to a park that is up by where we live and played on swings! We brought Hunter home gave him a bath and thought we were done with cranky boy and put him down to go to sleep and it didn't work to plan! He ended up staying up until 10:30 pm! He mostly goes down at 8:45pm so we were toast and he was so tired by this time and we gave him everything we had for teething! Tablets, tylenol, and gum gel and alot of movie time. Larry and I crashed when he did cause we knew he would be up early the next day. It is Sunday am and we have already had grass time and porch time and will see how the rest of the day goes! Hunter New's

Sorry still haven't taken any pics. I will try to later I was just doing some house cleaning and getting some chili makings in the crock-pot! Love the crock-pot! I am not napping, which I was planning on doing for some reason my mind wants to get stuff done instead of sleep. Hopefully, I will not regret it later. I just wanted to update you all on what Hunter has learned and what he knows! He is turning into a smart cookie...takes after dad's brain!

***What Hunter knows or what he is doing***

~He can say Baa real loud when he sees his bottle

~He can make a monkey sound but not always on command (partially cause he is stubborn and does it when he wants to!). He says huh huh huh and most the time does says huh three times.

~He knows what a cow is and he can say Moo when he wants to.

~He can find the monkey and the cow in his books.

~He knows when we are leaving the house cause he has figured out that I put on a baseball cap (sometimes) and my coat and when we put on our shoes we are going somewhere!

~He knows that Bye means we are going somewhere and can say it alot when we get ready to go.

~He can howl like a coyote in the bath. (It is pretty cute, he lifts up his chin and scrunchies his eyes cause Larry and I lift up our chins and close are eyes and howl.

~He can unlock the slider doors but hasn't figured out how to push them open, thank goodness!

~He can say Papa and knows that it is Larry

~He can say Mama but I don't think he has it figured out yet I think it is just a word to him right now.

~He knows and can say Bath and goes walking straight for the tub after dinner.

~He knows what showers are and loves them.

~He knows what the word up is when he gets his diaper changed.

~Oh, I forgot he knows the word Movie and he can turn the TV on and the VCR. Thanks to his Uncle Corey for that!

I think that is about it that I can remember. He seems to be doing pretty good and we are trying to work on our words and saying the same ones over again cause he seems to know what we are talking about some of the time! Gotta jet all the animals are sleeping and it is making me tired. Gonna try that nap out and get some rest!

My bad!

Wow, it has been a week since I blogged last. Crazy. We have been sick the last week again. I didn't feel the greatest all weekend I was getting over my cold/cough, Larry started feeling sick Friday night and was miserable with sinus headache all weekend and Hunter wouldn't take his naps correctly all weekend. I was getting grumpy cause I couldn't get a nap that I so wanted when I was feeling crummy! Than Hunter came down with a temp Monday at daycare and he was sick yesterday with a temp and runny nose and I stayed home in the am with him and Larry stayed home in the afternoon and we went to work when we didn't have the sick Hunter shift. So he is getting our cold. I still feel buggy but I am gonna make it and cross my fingers that Hunter takes long naps today so I can sleep when he does. Larry has an appt with the ENT doc this friday so hopefully we can get his sinuses fixed w/out any type of surgery since he already has had 3 Sinus CT before this last round of sinus issues! Hopefully, it is just the cats making him plugged up and he can get on allergy meds cause we have had the cats for five years and I can't give them up! Needless to say I haven't taken many pics this week. Larry and Hunter were being boys on Saturday and built a fort around our bed and read books in the dark with the flashlight. Misha tried to join in since she likes the flashlight so her butt got in some of the pics. Hunter got another haircut on Saturday I didn't take any pics sorry! After the haircut, we went to a resturant for kids called P.B. and Ellie up where we used to live and Hunter had the appetizer peanut butter playdough. He ate it right away not the whole thing though. I ordered him plain whole wheat pasta and he didn't like that it ended up on the floor, he liked the cheese shapes and the banana mush. It was a great place to take kids cause they are used to kids messes! I recommend it for kids and adults pretty yummy food! So that has been our week in a nut shell! I will try to take pics today!

Bear Love!

After Hunter's nap today I took down toys from his shelf in his bedroom that he hadn't played with in a long time. He was hanging out in the living room playing with them and all of a sudden he saw Larry's old bear that his parents gave him when we were dating. It was a birthday present and they made it at build-a-bear store a few years ago. We kept it nice and clean for our future kids so Hunter gets it. Anywho, I look over and Hunter is laying on it giving it a hug! It was the cutest thing so I took lots of pics! Enjoy! Make sure you give someone a bear hug today!

 

Eating Kiwi!

Hunter is eating kiwi from our fruit crate! He loves them! Who would have known we would be eating kiwi in April when it is rainy and dark outside! I also took pictures of Hunter playing his keyboard! He is officially safe to sit on the chair that goes with it! He has figured out how not to fall when trying to get on it. He likes to put the microphone in his mouth and says huh. Pretty cute! Also, I am trying out Picasa another website that you can download pics to! What do you guys think of this setup? Hope all is well. I got the cough and manly voice crud going on so hopefully soon we are all back to 100% wellness! I am off to take a nap so I can survive the rest of the week at work!

 

Little Tykes Outdoor toys!

Second try! I posted this earlier but it made my blog all wierd so here goes again. Grandma and Granpa Robinson let Hunter have two daycare Little Tykes Outdoor structures cause I was gonna look for some at garage sales and Annie said she wanted new things for the kids so Hunter got some structures! He has a house and a spaceship! They are on our porch and I haven't had a chance to clean them yet cause Hunter went all wierd on us today with his naps. Thanks you guys for letting us have these especially now that it is sunny!

Rockin!

I had a wooden rocker when I grew up and my mother took it down from the attic and cleaned and restained it put new mats with a Tigger decal on it and gave it to Hunter. He loves rockin! He climbs in it gets his legs stuck on the side and shimmies his legs and butt around and finally sits correctly in it and rocks! Here are pics of it!

You might be wondering where the bottom mat is at?! Well Hunter couldn't get on the rocker correctly cause he kept sliding off so guess who gets it now?!

Miss Lucy! She loves it! It is on top of the fish tank and she sleeps on it day and night! Thanks mother for reviving the rocker~!

Veggie/Fruit crate!

It came! I told Lar not to open it till I got home and it was chillin' on our porch waiting to be explored! I took some pics for you all. It wasn't full cause we didn't order a big crate but will see how we do with what we received! This is what was in our crate: 3 pink lady apples, 2 baby artichokes, bananas, green beans, red chard, a ruby grapefruit, 3 kiwi's, red leaf lettuce, one mango, green onion's, red potatoes, carton of strawberries, carton of red cherry tomatoes, and the Chinook Coupon book that came free cause I ordered it at the shindig. So far we have only dug into the banana's so well see how we do with everthing else!

Here are some pics that I forgot to download taken before the sickness last weekend I think I actually took them last Wednesday. He was playing with bowels from the kitchen on his checkers mat. Maybe he will be a good cook likes his papa! Which reminds me our first veggie/fruit crate comes tomorrow! So excited~!

We are better, hopefully!

Hello all! So we are on the homestretch for better bellies! Hunter started having better diapers today, my innards are better, and Lar was ill yest but better today! Yeah! Hope it just goes up hill from here! Thanks to family who chipped in and helped get stuff for us when I didn't want to get out of the house and also to friends and family emailing and calling making sure Hunter was doing ok. Hope everyone is doing just as well as us. Hunter was in his pajamas all week until today when he went back to daycare. I took some pictures but not alot and I love the ones with him reading. He is a pretty smart cookie. He knows when the books are upside down cause he turns them the right way and looks at them. I think he knows where the eyes and noses are supposed to be! Such a smarty! He also knows the words movie, bath, baa (for bottle), papa, and bye bye. He can't say movie or papa yet but the other ones he is doing good with when he wants to say them.

We got puke!

No pictures necessary for this blog if you don't like the words puke and diarrhea don't read this blog! Sunday night Lar and I went to bed early at 9:30pm cause we had a long weekend. Hunter started crying about 10:30pm I didn't get up and he stopped and he cried again at 11:30pm once again I didn't get up cause he cried for a few seconds. 12:30am he is crying again this time he wasn't happy I got up and his face is covered in puke and he is rubbing his eyes and he has puke stuck in his lashes. The room spelled awful and he had puked twice in his bed and down the crib and on the floor. I feel really bad cause I am not sure when his first puke was since I never got up. I learned right away Lar does not do puke! He had to look for his respirator to clean up the room! Lar gave him a shower and I got him in his pajamas. Not more than five minutes later he puked on me, his clean pajamas and his bedroom floor! To make a long story short he puked a total of 8 times by 2 pm. We put him in his pack-n-play in our room and finally feel asleep by one and would wake up a couple of times sit up and gag and puke and go right back to sleep. We woke up to no puke but I had diarrhea so I got to stay home with him! Lar went to work and later in the am Hunter had two explosive diarrhea diapers! All I am gonna say is puddle on the floor! I gave him a bath and I was on round 6 of diarrhea and was almost toast by the time Lar came home at one on round 14 of diarrhea. Hunter went down for a nap and Lar bought me some Immodium and I went and slept while Hunter did and Lar chilled with Misha. I woke up to chicken noodle soup smells! It was awesome! Lar totally took care of Hunter and I got us BRAT food and Gatorade's and even made homemade bread for the chicken noodle soup! Hunter slept so much yesterday he took three naps and they were between 2 1/2- 3 hours long which helped me get some sleep. So today is tuesday and Hunter woke up at 5:30 am I gave him a bottle of milk and he wanted more so I gave him more and he fell back to sleep! He slept until 7:30 and I picked him up out of the crib and he puked on me and five minutes later had explosive diarrhea! Here we go again! But I think he is getting better we just have to stay away from milk and stay on the down low. As for me I haven't had any diarrhea since Larry came to my rescue with the Immodium but my innards aren't happy they just don't know what to do right now. We will see what today brings. Hunter was waving bye-bye when he woke up at 7:30am so we might venture to the library to pick up a baby einstein video cause he needs some fresh air minus the puke or diarrhea, I hope! I hope that everyone else is well and puke free in their abode!

Going Organic!

Just a journal blog today so far I haven't taken any pics of Hunter today but I plan to after this nap. Most of you know that I don't cook or like to go food shopping. It is just not my thing. Not sure why I think I would rather work and help people than go get food and fix a meal. I am very paranoid when I do cook that it tastes bad or I burnt the meal. But through the years being married I have gotten a little better but not much. Thank goodness Larry loves to cook and cooks well! Thanks Dude! My mother got me a book for Easter that is called "Mommy Rescue Guide-Toddler Meals" and it has inspired me to be a better food shopper and maybe even try to attempt to cook! In the book it said that organic food is much better for kids and I heard this many times but when you finally have a little someone who you need to take care of a little bell in your head says I gotta do what is good! I think Jo told me when she had Mckenna that she started eating even healthier when Mckenna was a toddler so I am thinking that I am trying to go that route also. Don't get to excited for me cause I found a way not to go to the store! I know lazy me but at least I am trying. We went to the Expo center last weekend for an environmental show and Larry told me that Ryan and Katie have a company that brings fruit and veggies to their door! So I found a booth that does just this and signed up! Can you believe that I am really excited about this and it has to do with fruits and veggies and I am not the biggest fan of either of these but now I am excited! The company is called Pioneer Organics and they will drop off a crate of fruit and veggies every other week on friday's! We tell them what we don't like and they will not send it and if we want all fruits or all veggies that is what they will send! Pretty cool! I know you are all saying this isn't new but for me it is! My boys and I are going organic! I hope this works out and we get nice healthy meals in our bellies and maybe I will like to eat fruits and veggies and cooking! I will keep you posted our first crate comes April 11th! Here's the website for them if anyone is interested. They go to parts of Washington and Oregon but no further than Oregon City.
