Vacuuming!

We try to vacuum our house twice a week cause we got area rugs that pick up every cat and dog fur. When Hunter was littler we would put him in his highchair and vacuum but now that he can almost climb out of his highchair we just let him wonder. This Sunday I was vacuuming and he broke down and didn't like the vacuum cleaner so Larry and I switched I held Hunter and he vacuumed. Hunter was much better which I am glad cause I don't like to vacuum anyways. Lar was almost done vacuuming and all of a sudden Hunter came out of his room with his popper and started vacuuming with Lar it was so cute. Of course, I had to grab the camera~!

Pudding at Daycare!

I did it! I figured out how to send pictures that someone emails to me! Gosh I am getting good at this blogging stuff! Hunter goes to daycare at Annie's, his grandma three days a week, and my mother watches him at our house on Fridays. So he is in good hands while we are at work! Annie sent me these pictures of him on Monday while I was at work and they made my day. I can tell he LOVES daycare! It makes me feel so lucky to have family watch him and that he can interact with kids and learn from them! Thank you Annie and Mother for making my little guy so happy when we aren't there! Here he is eating pudding. You can totally tell he is loving it! He is such a cheese nugget! I love his cheeks!

The next DJ?

Hunter loves Larry's computer and his new thing is having Larry's headphones, that he uses to play computer games, on him. I had to take some pictures cause he just looked to cute!

Playing!

We took Hunter to the Portland Children's Museum today! Lindsey went with us and none of us had been there before. Hunter took a very short am nap and he slept maybe 15 minutes on the way there and he had a great time at the Museum but he was very tired at the end. It is a fun place to take kids I would just recommend going on the weekday cause you can park easier. He had fun with the ambulance, we almost couldn't get him away he had a couple breakdowns when we tried to make him leave it. He had fun in the plastic pit with the dump trucks and he loved the water room he just wasn't tall enough for all the things but he made do and had fun anyways. We learned that he loves anything with a steering wheel and could play with one forever and gets very upset when he gets taken away from it! Thanks Lindsey for coming with us and dealing with waiting for a shuttle bus to get to the Museum and following the little dude all over! After his nap we took him to the little wade pool and he was the only one there so it made it nice. It could have been cause we were there not during open hours, oops. Looking for...

1.) Places to take Hunter to play at! Needs some advice since I am new at this "mother" stuff. I am asking for help! Where can I take Hunter to play on things that are safe and fun and that he can just go free at? He is such a boy and is climbing and running! He is getting bored with being at home. We have done the zoo and I heard about the Children's Muesum, which we are gonna take him to one of these free weekends. But any other places? It can be anywhere from Canby to Portland.

2.) Does anyone know of any books that they would recommend for finding places to take kids like parks, or even kid friendly resturants in the portland area? Since PB and Ellie's closed after we went there!

3.) Looking for a good book/read on home remedies for toddlers? Does anyone know of a good one?

I am just trying to keep my very active dude busy and not go crazy. I downloaded some pics the first one is when Lar was sick. Poor thing he would kill me if he knew I put this up so don't say anything! But doesn't Hunter look cute minus the pacifer. I love his eyes!

These two are from Wednesday I made him oatmeal and I don't make it as well as Grandma does. He also will not let me feed it to him he has to do it himself! I didn't have any clean bips so it was a fun oatmeal mess to clean up. He is getting the hang of his spoon and fork but the he got more oatmeal in his mouth using his hands.

Larry and I finally made it to Costco and bought AA batteries! We have been out of them since probably Christmas. So all of Hunter's toys were not working because of our lazy, forgetfulness! Anywho, we charged up his Elmo and he loves it now! I was trying to get a good smiling pic of him but missed it each time. I am not a big fan of this Elmo it scares me. I didn't realize that it moved and fell backwards and stood up until after I asked my mother to get it for him. Thanks though, mother! At least he likes it it freaks me out! We also put batteries in his glow worm and he gives it loves and carries it with him at home. Crazy what toys we had as kids that our kids like. This glow worm isn't the same as the cute one I remembered as a kid this one is small and for some reason I remember glow worms being green not purple and blue! I haven't taken a pic with him playing with it but I will try!

Plastic is out!

Tuesday was a good day! Larry had his sinus surgery last Monday and he has been miserable since! He hasn't been able to breathe through his nose cause the surgeon put plastic tubes in his nose that you couldn't see to help heal from his surgery. Larry hasn't been able to sleep very well all week cause he has been so congested, stuffed up, and in a fog because of these plastic tubes! The weekend was rough on him cause he just couldn't sleep at night or during the day he starting getting weird, vivid nightmares from the lack of sleep! His ENT surgeon took the plastic tubes out yesterday and he said he could not remember ever breathing this well! Yeah! This last week has been rough on all of us. We/I haven't slept well at all cause Lar would snore or Hunter would wake up screaming after midnight and not go down for hours later and it would always happen on a work night! I have slept on the couch alot and Lar has slept in his recycliner alot too! But last night Larry slept awesome and could breathe with his CPAP machine and slept the whole night and so did Hunter! Me on the other hand didn't. I have been so used to getting up with everyone that my body and mind were still in that groove, I guess. Also, Kramer and Misha kept me up cause they would get up with us through all of this drama. So after taking a nap with Hunter today I hope I am back to regular sleeping schedule! We changed Hunter to 1/2 soy 1/2 whole milk bottles to see if we can wean him of whole milk and go to soy and see if he is allergic to the milk and that would be why he keeps waking up in the middle of the night with an upset belly. We started this on Monday and so far we have slept through two nights! Yeah! I gotta jet cause he just went down. I will try to post more later and I actually took pictures today, crazy!

Catching up!

Alot has gone on I just haven't posted pictures or blogged. Sorry everyone! We went to the beach a couple of weeks ago with my mother and Wayne for her birthday/retirement celebration and I am always the last one to pack my bags and I like to have a clean house before I leave. So Larry took Hunter packing so I could finish my chores and that is what is in back of him with the reflector. He loves it and says pack non-stop until he gets in it. I love his look! It looks like he was saying stop taking my pictue and get me in the pack! He looks like such a big boy in this picture with his hat, tennis shoes and cool outfit. I was very bummed that he actually didn't wear this outfit to the beach cause he likes to spit out what he is drinking out of his sippy cups and I had just given him juice and he was all sticky!

I am pretty sure he is saying pack right here I just can't remember! Look at how tan he is getting! Doesn't have my skin thank goodness!

We went to Lincoln City and spent the night at a beach house with my mother and Wayne. We had a good time thanks for inviting us. Hunter loved the beach! He would walk and walk and walk. He went in the cold water and would make a scared face once his feet were in and stayed in for a few seconds he wasn't sure about it. But he kept going in. He loved walking on the beach and just having the freedom and we just let him go! He would make his happy sounds and would walk on the dry sand, wet sand, and go to the water again. It was pretty windy out so he went straight to Larry when he was done and wanted to be picked up and we didn't have to deal with a screaming boy who wasn't ready to go. We did learn not to put aqua shoes on little kids and let them play at the beach with them cause he got the worst sore on the side of one of his feet where the sand kept scratching at him! Poor thing so I learned to put socks on than aqua shoes! We got lots of cute pics and here is just some. He is basically smiling in every single one! You can totally tell he loves the beach! I still haven't figured out how to do Picasa cause I keep getting duplicates in my collages! Anyone know how to fix my problem!?

The Jeep makes him smile!

We went to a wedding in Gaston, Oregon on Friday evening and took Hunter along. I was just to lazy to find someone to watch him. Congrats Alishia on getting hitched! Hunter wasn't that excited about the one hour drive to get there and it was at the Elk Cove Vineyards, which was beautiful! Hunter also didn't like being stuck in his pack and not being able to walk/run around because of us being right in the vineyards. We couldn't stay long at the wedding, my fault, cause we would have had a screamer on our hands. We FINALLY met Alishia's man and he was very nice! We are so happy for her! We departed with cranky Hunter who screamed in the car and finally got so bored/mad at us that he feel asleep and we had to wake him up cause we were in Newberg and we hadn't eaten! When we got him back in the car once again he wasn't happy with us, which I take full blame for. We finally got home around his bedtime but he had been couped up in a car and pack that we let him play in the Jeep! One of his favorite things ever! We brought Misha out, who was stuck inside during this wedding adventure and was scared cause people were doing fireworks and for some reason this year they scared her and she was shivering and her tail was between her legs. So she hung out in one of her favorite areas the jeep also! We took pictures of it and you would not believe it from the pictures but this boy was not happy with us until he got in the jeep and all was better! Enjoy! Bummer I can't get the pictures up! I will try tomorrow!

Cranky dude!

I think we are going through the terrible two's at 16 months! Hunter hates the word "no" and not getting his way and he will let you know it! He screams and kicks and everything! I hope this is just a stage that passes by soon cause he is such a bear when he doesn't get his way. Makes it harder to be excited for another little person when you got a little dude screaming at the top of his lungs! But I still love him I just hope he calms down soon. He mostly does it at home I think he gets sick of Larry, I and being in the house even though we go for walks, car rides, packing, swimming, you name it we do it outside it is just he gets mad sometimes when we come back home and he isn't ready to leave the outdoors! I swear he loves the outdoors and could live out there if he wanted to! Thank goodness he hasn't burned his skin yet and takes after Larry with his skin and not turning into a lobster like me just being in the sun for a few minutes! I still haven't taken any new pictures I just am bad at it lately. My July folder of pictures barely has any in it and by this time I would have like 30 pics! The rest of the week is busy for us. We have a wedding on friday, overnight beach trip with my mother on Saturday, and Larry has sinus surgery on Monday! Not sure if I am gonna get a blog in during all of this but we will see! Hopefully, Hunter will be a happy little camper with us through all this and not be a cranky dude! He also has about three molars coming in but they have been for weeks so I don't think I can blame his 'tude on them but just maybe it is! Hoping and praying that is the reason! Also, alot of people are asking if we will find out if this little Robinson will be a girl or boy and yes we will but we will try to keep the name a secret until he or she is born! I am thinking it will be a boy and Hunter and Larry say it will be a girl so will see!

Finally, pics from rafting!

I only took a couple and they are blurry! Lindsey took more so I will try to figure out how to get those posted! Hunter went on the Deschutes with Larry, Lupita, and I. We took him on a little stretch of the river the not so scary and that had no big rapids. I held him and Larry was the rafter and Lupita sat in the back of the raft and hung out with us. Hunter loved it. I would say EEEEEE everytime we went over some waves and he caught on and would say EEEEE. It was cute. He had to get used to the life jacket cause it made him stiff as a board and not able to move his head when he wanted to. He didn't even burn on this trip I was amazed. His cheeks got pink but it could have just been he was warm since it got in the 100's! He kept drinking alot of gatorade and milk! He loves being outdoors so this was totally his thing! I only went in the quad trailer to sleep! The rest of the time he was outside in his element! I am pretty sure he will be rafting a boat when he is in his teens like his papa did!

Baby No. 2!

Yep, it's is true I am pregnant! Crazy, I know but I am 3 months pregnant today! My due date is January 16th, which is 6 weeks after Lindsey! This is one reason I haven't blogged much and have been so lazy. I just haven't figured out how to keep up with cleaning the house, working full time, keeping up with a very active 16 month old, and being pregnant at the same time! So I take naps when Hunter does when I can just to get a break and catch up on my sleep. We told family when we heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks and have slowly told friends but I am at the mark were it is ok to broadcast it to everyone. So Larry and I are gonna have 2 kids under 2! What were we thinking!? Hope everyone had a great fourth! I will post more tomorrow and I have only taken 2 pictures of Hunter with our camera in the last 3 weeks and we even went rafting and I still didn't take any I don't know what is wrong with me! Hope everyone is well!

Playing in the pool!

We went to Oregon City's swimming pool and they have an outside wading pool that is free. Hunter loved it I think he thought it was a big bathtub. He laughed, happy screamed, smiled, giggled and splashed! He had a great time. We didn't stay long cause we had dinner plans but it is nice to know that this pool is just a block away! I didn't get in the pool this time but I will next time. I just took 44 pictures instead! His bruises are finally all almost gone so he is looking alot better.

Journal Blog

Sorry everyone I have been bad at blogging and taking pictures. Been busy with the boys and keeping the house in order or trying to and I haven't taken my camera out at all. Last Thurdsday, Hunter took a tumble down our front porch cement stairs outside and got a lovely dinosaur egg on his head. He is still healing and bruising from it so I haven't taken any pics of him cause of it and he has been so active and in to everything now he has a bruise on his cheek and back of his head. His legs are bruised and scraped from playing outside. Needless to say we have been hanging low and not visiting people cause it looks like we don't take care of him but we do he is just ALL boy! He is still cutting teeth and I think he has for about a month now been drooling non-stop and warm to the touch and taking long naps and going down early. Poor little man is just growing like a weed!

We had a great father's day. Misha, Hunter, and I got up early (cause we were on Hunter's early am schedule on Sunday) and went to Starbucks and got Larry some coffee and breakfast and delivered it to him in bed and he got to sleep in some. We went hiking with the dogs and family at Molalla State Park and it was a beautiful day to celebrate Larry's 2nd Father's Day! Your the best dad ever Lar! Your boy LOVES you so much and you can tell everyday cause he wants to do everything with you! Thanks for being such an awesome dad!

Hanging out with my 15 MONTH OLD little man on a tuesday!

The doctor I work for has been on vacation so he comes back tomorrow (wednesday) so he wanted me there so today is my wednesday. I vegged with Hunter in the am we took an am nap together my mother came over for a little bit so I could shower and now Hunter is down for his pm nap. He was feeling warm so I hope he just has a fever from his teeth will see how the rest of the day goes. These are pics I took today since I haven't taken any in awhile. I was telling him to smile and these are what I got. He was laying on our floor talking and posing for me and drooling (from the new teeth coming in?). He is such a cutie! We razored his hair this weekend again so he is looking all clean and not shaggy. It is amazing how fast his hair grows! I also can't believe he is 15 months old! His big day was yesterday! Time seriously flies when you have kids! Time needs to slow down sometimes! Well I better download so I can join him in his nap! Hope everyone is staying dry! What is up with our weather! Random Pics from the weekend

Sorry everyone I have just been lazy in the blog dept. I had to work late on Monday and Tuesday I just went to bed early and the weekend I just vegged, slept when Hunter slept and went to the zoo with the boys.

After Hunter's am nap he likes to sit on his dad's lap and watch him play WOW cause he knows that Larry will be at the computer when he wakes up. He is eating his snack (it is in the yellow bowl) and chillin on Lar's lap. We were off to the zoo after snack time!

This was our second attempt to make it to the zoo on a Saturday and we have learned that it doesn't matter the parking lot will be full and you got to take the shuttle. The shuttle are school buses. We stood in a long line for awhile finally got on and made it to the zoo. It probably took us 45 minutes to achieve this. The zoo was fun we saw the bears and monkey's. We still haven't done the train ride that will be for another time. Hunter liked it more this time I think. He kinda knew he had to look at stuff cause we were pointing alot more. His eyes got really big when the seal lions swam by. He liked them. These are pics of him on the way back from the zoo we caught a bus just as we were leaving and we were the only ones in it! He has his pacifer in cause we were very close to his nap time. He was a trooper he didn't fall asleep in the car cause we kept him awake so he would sleep in his crib and he did! It was a fun day! The last pic was taken by a grounds keeper guy he asked if we wanted our pic taken. I of course look like death cause my contacts would not go in so I had to wear my glasses and it was sunny so I had to wear my hat! Hunter did not want to be held so that is why we have weird faces.
