Children's Museum!

Here are pics from my special date with my birthday boy. He had so much fun! Doesn't he look like a big boy in his polo?

Here is a picture of Miss Grace swaddled in her swaddle getting ready to go to sleep! These swaddles work! Lindsey got started on them with Nate and got Grace one for a gift and we have been using them ever since. She has slept longer through the night since we swaddled her up in one. She lost her tan the week before Larry left for Canada and now she is nice and pale like me poor girl.

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Hunter turns 2 today! For his birthday week I took him to the Children's Museum yesterday and he had a blast but didn't like leaving at all. Cried and screamed almost the whole way home. Guess he was having fun but after 2 hours I was done and we needed to get home for lunch and nap time! I still am amazed that he is 2 time sure does fly! I couldn't imagine life without my stubborn little buddy you have brought much joy to your mama and papa's life!

I forgot to mention that Miss Grace has been sleeping in her big girl crib the last two nights! I made the plunge to not put her in her co-sleeper by me and see if I could move her across our room in her big girl crib and it worked! She even slept longer in it. We don't have another room to put her in so she gets to sleep with us until we get another house. I am proud of myself cause we moved Hunter into his room from the co-sleeper at 7 weeks and I thought I might as well do it again with Grace. I am proud of myself for moving her even if it is across the room. This weekend I will tackle the co-sleeper and get it out of our room. Last night Grace slept from 9-3:30am! Than didn't wake up until 6:15am! Yeah! But I still can't get Hunter to sleep till 7 am like he was he keeps getting up around 5:45am!

Here is some info about Miss Grace...
I like to call her mouse since she is so small and petite.
She likes to lay on her back and kick up a storm.
When you talk to her she smiles and coos.
She HATES wearing hats but will tolerate coats that have hats attached to them.
She falls asleep easily in the car.
She isn't a fan of vibrating in her jumper only when she is tired.
She looks cute in purple and if she wears blue her eyes are very blue.
Her hair is nice and long still it goes past her neck.
She is getting big cheeks like her brother.

Here is some info about Hunter...
We like to call him Buddy, Buddy Love, My love (I call him this), or HT.
He can talk up a storm. He is up to 4-5 word sentences.
He is getting better at going potty. We are just waiting for papa to come home from Canada to work on this alot harder.
He LOVES to dance.
He colors awesome! He colors on the character and doesn't color outside the page alot.
He wears 8 1/2 wide shoes! We just got him a new pair today for his bday gift.

I just wanted to post info like this so I can go back and remember what the kids did. Also, I love saying "the kids" it amazes me that we have two kids! Who would have known that Larry and I would have kids even more than one. Wouldn't trade them for the world even if Hunter is having a tantrum!

8 weeks!

Sunday Miss G will be 8 weeks old! My baby girl is not a tiny baby anymore! She looks like a newborn now instead of a premie. She is smiling alot and coos she is so cute! She has been a breeze and I feel bad cause most the time she has to hang out while I try to keep her brother happy since he is a busy little man. He turns 2 on Monday! That is just crazy to me! Lar and I decided not to have his bday party until he gets back from Canada so it will be weird not celebrating it on his day but he will not know. He is having family come over for his ELMO party! I hope he has fun this year. The kids have their doctors appt next week so will see what their stats are. The cool thing is I work for their doctor! And she is cool with me leaving work to pick them up at Annie's and than seeing them and taking them back all during work! How cool is that! Poor Annie will get them after their shots so they should be nice and grumpy and all better when I get them I hope! Just this week Hunter has been saying sentences! He says up to 4-5 words and you can tell what he is saying! This am he said. Mama I want baa now. Baa is his bottle. I just had to look at him and think were did my little boy go! Larry is going to come back from Canada to two different/changed kids it will be a shocker I think. They both have changed in the 1.5 weeks that he has been gone. My lovely Grace slept awesome last night! She slept from 8pm to 3:30am! Yeah! Bad thing was Hunter woke up at 5:30am and stayed up. Bummer thing was I didn't go back to sleep with Grace until close to 4:30am! But I should be happy with the sleep I did get. My old job at Davies Clinic is going great! It is a breeze! I love electronic records I have been used to paper charts this whole time! Love, Love, Love doing everything on the computer! I think that about sums up what has been going on in my world. Just working and watching my kids change before my eyes!

Hanging out on Sunday!

The kids and I hung out on Sunday. The only time we ventured out was to go to Fred Meyers for some more food for the week. I didn't venture out much today cause yesterday we did so much that doing it by yourself and loading two kids, a dog (who had to go with us everywhere) and whatever I bought in and out of the car made my wrists sore today. It was a good day today. Hunter is getting better with his terrible two's it only shows up when I am giving Grace her bottle or say no to him when he doesn't want to hear it. But we are surviving and I think he has just come to deal with his papa being in Canada. He gets to talk to him on the phone before he goes to bed so that has been nice. It makes me cry when I see Hunter listening to Lar on the phone cause you can tell Hunter is so excited to hear him even though for some reason Hunter doesn't say a word when he is on the phone with him. His eyes get really big and look like they water a little bit when he hears him. Last night when Larry was talking to him Hunter pointed to the phone and whispered Papa it was the sweetest and saddest thing. The good thing about Hunter getting phone calls from Lar before bed time is that since we have done it the last two nights Hunter has slept the whole nights through! Amen! He hasn't done this much since we brought Grace home maybe 4-5 nights total so to have 2 in a row is awesome I hope it continues! Here are so pics from today...

Grace sleeping in her big girl crib for the first time! I got her in her REM sleep that is why her eyes are halfway open! I promise she sleeps with the fully shut.Hunter playing with Grace while I folded MANY loads of laundry! I couldn't get to the laundry all week with working late at the beginning of the week and than working the whole week. I mostly do laundry on Wednesdays and the weekend. The machines were on all weekend. But I am done with the laundry. Yeah!Bath time! This is the first time I had Hunter help with Grace's bath. Mostly to give him something new to do since he had been stuck with me all weekend. We gave Grace a bath the night before so he knew what to do. I promise Grace isn't going to roll of the counter!Of course he has to play with the water! He had just finished a 45 minute bath prior or I bet you he would have climbed in that sink!Dirty girlClean girl! She has grown so much! She doesn't look like a newborn anymore! I combed her hair so that is why she looks bald. She is sticking her tongue out at you!

It was a nice weekend with the kids. It looks like Lar will probably be in Canada so I gotta get ready for the next week without him. Hunter's bday is next Monday so I am going to take him out for a Mommy and me date Saturday am to go get his birthday shoes since his feet keep growing!

Changing jobs and vacuuming!

I can't believe the weekend is here again! This week went fast for me let me tell you! Larry left for Canada and my last day at Cascade Physicians was on Tuesday and I started back up at Davies Clinic on Wednesday. I didn't have a day off this week but oh well next week I will start having Thursday's off. It will be weird for me to have no more Wednesday's off I have had them off since I left Davies Clinic about 7 years ago. It was sad leaving everyone at Cascade Physicians employees and patients. But taking the job in Canby is the best thing for me and my family. Since I left their and started at Davies I have seen my kids before 5:15pm everyday not at 6:45-7pm! Let me tell you I have to stop and think what to do with them for 2.5 hours before they go to bed! And I have to cook two things I am not used to doing but am very excited to figure out. So Larry might be done with Canada on Monday or he will stay longer not sure what is going to happen but I am just planning on him being gone for the whole time and just prepare myself for it. Having the kids to myself hasn't been too bad except for the nights. I get maybe 3-5 hours a sleep a night just depends on Hunter if he gets up and if he stays awake for 2 hours screaming at me. Last night he didn't get up at all and slept in until 7am! Grace slept from 9:30 pm until 3:45am! That is the most sleep I have gotten since Grace was born! I felt so much more revived and ready to start my day just because I got a couple more hours than I am used to! Let me tell you it isn't the easiest getting up to go to work with only 3-5 hours of sleep and trying to learn a whole new job on top of it but I am powering through, I think.

Today, Hunter vacuumed! This is an awesome thing cause he has been scared of the vacuum cleaner since he had his colonoscopy. Not sure if he wasn't totally asleep for the procedure and the loud noise of the procedure is what had scared him and it sounds like the vaccum or if he got scared cause someone scared him with it and didn't realize it. Could have been me not sure. Anyways. He "helped" me vacuum today by holding the cord and following me when I was vacuuming. This is a child that would be crying in the other room and shaking like a leaf when the vacuum cleaner would turn on. I am so proud of him he didn't cry at all and helped me get it out of the pantry even! Also, the kids and I ventured to the mall with our new double seated stroller that my mother and wayne got. I have never went to the mall by myself with them it was a good time until I couldn't figure out how to disassemble the stroller since it was the first time we used it. Weekend of fun!

Grace is feeling better! Yeah! She is coughing less and she can breathe through her nose and her eyes are back to normal. Thank goodness! We had a good weekend, but I didn't get my usual chores done we were just to busy, My freezer is full of pre-made foods thanks to Lar. Him, his mom, and Lindsey cooked all day on Saturday and now all our freezers are full! We finally took pictures of cousin Nate and Grace side by side! Nate is 25 days older and is in 3 month clothes and weighs 12 pounds and Grace is 8.6 pounds and in 0-3 month clothes! She is a peanut compared to her cousin! Nate is growing at a fast speed like Hunter did! Here is a pic of the two.

Today I was in our bedroom folding laundry and Lar said he had to go to the shed to get his box that had his Canada stuff in it. Hunter was with me and went into the living room when he heard Lar leave. When Larry came back Hunter was going in back and forth to the living room and our bedroom saying something I couldn't understand! It took me a few minutes to get it once I figured out what was in Larry's boxes! Hunter saw Larry's work boots and Hunter was so excited to see them that he kept telling us 'boots on' which meant he wanted to but the boots on like he did the last time Larry went to Canada. He is such a smarty! Here are pics with 'boots on'!

Hunter has a great memory it scares me! Today I had Larry put together Grace's lady bug mobile on her crib and Larry winded it up and it sang a song and spun. Well Hunter was intrigued like he usually is with music, but about 10 minutes later he ran out of the room saying something I couldn't understand once again. I tell you it takes me awhile to figure him out and once I know his words I get it. He came back with his toy giraffe and when I saw the giraffe I could tell he was saying giraffe. He had to dig deep in his toy box for the giraffe. What is unique about this giraffe is that you pull the lever and it sings. He got it when he was a baby and he doesn't play with it much but what is amazing is it plays the same song as Grace's lady bug mobile! He wanted me to pull the lever and we had the same song going on. He is one smart cookie!

One last thing. I put Grace on her floor gym thing and she looked up and squelled 2 times and was smiling! I was trying to catch her smile in this picture!

Relaxing and turning RED!

Today I am relaxing at home with Hunter! Larry has been at his parents house all day cooking! He is getting meals ready for me while he is gone. Isn't that the sweetest and coolest thing! I didn't think of this he thought of it and I am so happy about it. He has Grace and I have Hunter. Hunter and I went shopping today to find some 'real people' clothes for my new job since I don't have to wear scrubs anymore! I have worn scrubs for almost 5 years and my closet is bare of any type of cool clothes since the last time I wore nice things I didn't have the figure from having two kids! Hunter and I had a good morning we tackled the pantry and organized it and cleaned it out. I had tons of clothes (hand-me-downs and new stuff) for Grace just stuffed in bins and we dragged them out and during Hunter's nap I organized them and put the next size 3-6 months in a bin back in the pantry all the other sizes went in a bag and out to the shed. I feel so much better getting that project done! Hunter, Misha, and I hung out on the porch and he played and I cleaned and swept it. Getting ready for some nice weather so he can play out there. He has been napping and I should be sleeping to but I had to attack Grace's bins of clothes before Larry left cause I have time at the moment! Tomorrow I will nap, hopefully!

I only have two more days at my current job it seems so weird that I am going to be leaving! The doctor I work for has been super cool about it all and even bought a cheesecake and brought it in for me on Friday!

The sickness in our house is getting better. Larry is on his second round of antibiotics for a sinus infection and Grace doesn't look as miserable with her cold as she did a few days ago. She is still stuffed up and her cough sounds worse, but I think she is on the mend at least I hope so.

Speaking of Grace...her eyebrows are turning reddish-orange! I think she is going to be a redhead like me! Yeah! This picture kinda shows what color they are. She has lost alot of her hair on the sides and top and she is looking like an old man but Hunter did the same thing so I know she will not stay like that for long. Thank goodness for hats but she hates them.

Larry put his mask on Hunter and he thought it was pretty cool. I can't remember the characters name so I am not even going to attempt to spell it. He had fun wearing it. Larry clipped a potato chip clip to the back of his head to keep the mask on him. He looked funny with the clip stuck to his head.
That is it for now I better jet and try to get a couple minutes of shut eye!

6 weeks old!

My baby girl is 6 weeks old today! Time sure has flown by fast and she has been a joy to have in our lives. She has been sick since Saturday with this cold everyone is getting. To see her sick is so sad cause she has a stuffed up nose but can't get the drainage out so we have to suck it out of her and than her eys water and they have been watering non-stop. She has a cough that sounds like she is choking and her cry is very soft like a mouse it is the saddest thing! She went into the doctor yesterday with Hunter to get checked out and it is all viral but if she has a fever we got to take her in again. She is miserable and when you look at her you wish you can make it all better. She looked better when I got home tonight so I hope tonight she powers through with sleep and wakes up feeling better! Larry is on antibiotics for a second time of having a sinus infection I hope he gets rid of it soon! Hunter has a croupy cough still but he alot better he hasn't puked since Sunday. Me I just have a constant runny nose but I am doing fine. I never get sick so I guess I am the lucky one that gets to take care of my kids and man. I think we are almost done with the sickness it is just Miss Grace we are keeping a close eye on right now. I took pictures of her the other day I just have to download them. Her cheeks are filling out and she has gotten a little bit longer but when she went in yesterday she had only gained about 9 oz so she is still a peanut. She is pretty easy going. She doesn't cry much only when she is hungry or gets bored being in the swing to long. She loves to stare at you and look around. She likes to move her chicken legs and likes to lay on her back and look all around. When you hold her and she is looking out your shoulder she likes to push herself up with her legs and push her hands out from your chest. She does this to try to get a better look at you. I just can't believe she is 6 weeks old!

I am done with sickness!

I have figured out after having kids I am losing my patience. I don't like to wait anymore for things to get better I want them better now! Hunter is still sick and I haven't had a nap in 2 days because for some reason he can't nap anymore! I am done and toast! My lack of sleep is catching up with me I get maybe 3-4 hours a night during the week and go to work so I was hoping the weekend would be where I get sleep. Not this weekend. Yesterday Hutner slept for 1 hour and that was it preceded to puke all over his bed so nap time was done and Grace was awake that whole time. Today he has slept for 45 minutes and now is screaming at me, but thank goodness Grace is sleeping. I hope that I get some type of shut eye cause I need it! I can't wait for Hunter to get better soon!

Sickness!

Hunter has been sick since Tuesday. He has a fever, lots of sinus drainage and a croupy cough. He is getting better but now Larry and I have sinus issues! Grace has had a nasally nose longer than Hunter but that is all she has. We are trying to get on the mend hopefully by Monday we will be all better! It is weird I noticed that I have taken less pics of Grace then I did with Hunter when he was growing it up it must because I am back at work 3 weeks before I was with Hunter and I have more cleaning to do and taking care of Hunter might have something to do with it also! I am getting more excited about working in Canby! One of the MA's I work for at my current job her last day was yesterday but her retirement party is next tuesday! I am so excited for her cause she has worked for so long that she needs a nice break from it all! Then the following tuesday is my last day. It is kinda weird that I am leaving but it is a good thing. I am only telling a few of the patients that I am leaving and so far 3 of them said they would follow me to Canby! Goofballs! I told them to stay with the doctor I work for cause he will take good care of them but it did make me feel good that I am so loved at my job. On Thursday, the jeep died on the way home from Canby. Not sure what is wrong with it and Larry is going to try to fix it this weekend, but hopefully soon we can sell it or do something with it and buy a van to fit us all in that will not die on us. Crossing my fingers that taxes are nice to us this year and that we either break even or get some money back! I never thought I would want to purchase a van but when your poor and have more than one kid and a dog you need one! So hopefully in the next few months we will have a family van! One last thing before I go and download pics! Just found out on Thursday that Larry is going to Canada! I know I am so done with he is or he isn't but it is official he is going back! I am on the fence about him going. But I know he needs to go and the money will be good I just hope that I can keep my sanity with the kids, Misha, new job, leaving old job, and hopefully getting more than 3 hours of sleep at night since BOTH kids are waking up at the wee hours of the night! The other night Grace slept 5 hours between feeding it was awesome! But than she got constipated again and we are back to grunting all wee hours of the am. Please keep me in your prayers cause I think I am going to need it! I think that is it. I am also getting ready for Hunter's 2nd bday coming up but it might have to get postponed due to Canada will see. Enjoy the pictures!

These are some of the doctor's at the clinic I work at. We had a holiday party in February and the theme was superheroes and villians. The doctore I work for is in the middle with the black hat and glasses standing next to Snow White. Larry and I didn't dress up but we took the kids with us.

One of Larry's co-worker's, Della, made this cute hat for Grace and I had to take a picture of it when she finally could wear it. She HATES hats but so did Hunter!

Last weekend I brought in some of the porch toys cause we were bored inside the house. The rocking dog was inside for a day and Hunter loved it!

Isn't she precious?! Here she is after her bath. She loves bath's just doesn't like the transition from the pad and being lifted naked to the bath tub. She superfreaks with her arms and legs!

This is her sleeping last night. She is snuggled in her Kiddopotamus that her Auntie Lindsey got her. It works and helps her sleep longer at night but not on the nights she is constipated cause she can't move her legs and arms to scrunch up her belly. Isn't she so sweet?! I love it when they are sleeping!

This pic was taken this am. She is hanging out on our bed while I am folding and putting away her premie clothes that don't fit her anymore. She was moving and a grooving her arms and legs. She is always on the go!

New Job!

I went back to work on Monday and I got offered a new job at an old job of mine on Monday! Crazy I tell you! One of the MA's at Davies Clinic gave their notice on Monday and so they called me to see if I wanted to come back and work there! It has been 10 years I think since I was there! So I told them yes and I will work 32 hours a week and have thursday's off! I will get done with work around 5pm and I can pick up the kids at daycare which is not even 5 minutes away! I am so excited and so in awe that this is happening and working out so well for me and our family. Especially in our economy where people are looking for jobs for months and here I am being asked to come and work. I don't have to drive to Portland anymore and spend 45 min each way and I will not have to work late hours and get home around 7pm! I might actually get to cook dinner's now instead of Larry! I am excited that I get to take the kids to daycare and pick them up cause I will see them more now. I start in 2 weeks and my current job was bummed but they totally understand since I came to them with no kids in tow and now I have 2 and they didn't think I would stay this long. They thought I would leave after Hunter was born. Nope, not me I was there for 4.5 years and it was fun but now I am thinking of my family and what is better for us. No more scrubs for me! Yeah! Can you tell I am excited?

Change!

I needed a new look for my blog since so much has/is changing in my life. Change of having two kids instead of one. Having change of a sweet little dude to a screaming boy who doesn't understand all the change around him. To the change of going back to work and not staying home and napping when I can. Change of finding two white hairs on my head after my haircut on Thursday! It is a good thing that I can take change well.

4 weeks old!

My baby girl turned 4 weeks old yesterday! It is amazing how time has flown by! It feels just like last week I had her. I know everyone says that but it is totally true! She has grown longer and losing her hair and her cheeks are getting bigger. More people are saying she looks like me! I didn't get that at all with Hunter so hopefully she grows up cute if she is going to look like me!

Shower and Back to work!

Been a busy week so I haven't blogged much. I have lost alot of sleep but I think my mind and body are getting used to it now. Scary. Last weekend, my mother did a family shower for Grace and I and it was nice and relaxful. We didn't have a big turnout but those who came made it fun and relaxing. Thanks again mother for doing such a cool shower for Miss Grace! The next day I took pictures of Hunter helping me take apart the diaper cake that Annie made. He had a great time helping and putting the diapers in the tube. My mother also got him a gift some Elmo bubble bath and I forgot about his gift until I started taking things out of gift bags and was doing thank you cards and he was hanging out with me putting stickers on a paper and I gave him the gift. He held on to it the whole time we did stickers and he proceeded to carry it around the house with him for the next hour.
Some days Hunter is better with his screaming but some days it is rough. He is adjusting to Grace having a pacifer when she wants and he can't have his unless he goes to bed and that has been an issue. I feel bad for him cause I know he doesn't get it but it seems like Grace might not like the pacifer after all so this might be a plus! We just give it to her because it helps prevent SIDS and sometimes makes it easier for her to go to sleep. Another issue is us holding Grace but every kid goes through that. In the end, I think he is doing ok with the big transition in his life especially for a little guy who isn't even two yet.

I have to go back to work this Monday! We just can't afford for me to stay home any longer. We don't want to put bills on credit cards so Miss G gets to go hang out with Grandma at daycare at 4 weeks old! I feel like a terrible mother but I have to do it to keep us feed and a roof over us so I just have to deal with it and know I am doing what is best for her and us all. That darn snow took alot of my vacation days! Oh well. Next week will be rough with going back and getting up every 2-3 hours in the night but we will power through!

Today I took pictures of Grace wearing her first dress! I was so excited to put it on her it reminded me of dressing up dolls. She is going to be fun to put clothes on I can tell already! She just has to stop peeing on them long enough for us to enjoy her outfits! She has been alot of fun to hang out with. She stays up for a couple hours at a time and just likes to sit on you and chill. She is starting to fill out a little in her face but the rest of her body is still small but she is growing lengthwise I can tell.

We didn't watch the Super Bowl this year but Larry had found the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet and it was pretty cute. We had turned it on again throughout the evening and it had a half time show that was all about kitten's and Hunter thought they were so cute! He was laughing so hard at them on Larry's lap that by the time I got the camera out he wasn't laughing as hard and he got off of Larry's lap and started dancing with the kittens cause they had music going on. I took some video of it and hopefully can get it downloaded for you all. Bummer it didn't work I will see if I can get Larry to help me with it.

That about wraps up my weekend. I should be sleeping right now since Grace is but I am getting alot of things checked off my list of things to do so I might power through the rest of the day before I have to pick up Hunter.
