He's home!

Larry finally made it home from Canada! He got delayed in Vegas but he walked through the door about 4 am today! It was another rough and tiring day. Did I get any sleep last night, not much am I tired yep but VERY happy my boys are with me! We are still in Canby and I am not sure when we are getting back to our house hopefully tomorrow! I finally got out of the house again after being inside since Saturday! My mother watched Hunter at her house and my in-laws took me to my OB doctor appt that I moved a day ahead cause I am not growing or gaining any weight so I was getting concerned! My OB checked and I was right my belly hasn't grown and I haven't gained more than a few ounces. Bummer! She did an ultrasound right there to check my fluid and I got plenty for this little girl so she said it is just the way she is positioned and wasn't too concerned but I have another ultrasound at the hospital next week to see if she has indeed grown. I asked the doctor what would happen if I didn't have enough fluid and she said I would be on bed rest. Not the words I wanted to here since Lar wasn't home yet and didn't know if he would make it! So no bed rest for me! She also said I am dilated 1-1.5 cm! Crazy! We also went to Fred Meyers and I did all my Christmas shopping minus shopping for Hunter. I felt bad I didn't do it with Lar but I had to get presents so the family gets a Fred Meyer Christmas! I finally like the snow now that I have my presents and I know that Little Miss is ok and my man is home. I don't care anymore if it snows or melts!

Trying day...

I know that I have been complaining alot this last week so I don't mean to put I just gotta get it out somehow so my blogging is a way. It also shows I am not perfect at all I got flaws. Today was a tough day with my emotions! Lar has been stuck in Canada and should have been home today after being gone 10 days for his job. 10 days might not seem alot but when most of those days I was snowed in somewhere being pregnant with an active 21 month old who might take one nap or two was just enough for me to get through. I did though and I am grateful for all who helped me and checked on me. But today I was getting the worst news from Lar throughout the day. He first told me he wouldn't make it today than another call said he wouldn't make it for Christmas and another he would make it home until after 2009! By this one I finally had to shed some tears cause I didn't think I could do it especially with knowing I could technically give birth anytime now but probably wouldn't but you never know. I just wasn't prepared for that one. So as of tonight he did find a flight home. He has three flights to take tomorrow and if all goes well in PDX with the snow he will be home by midnight on Christmas eve if not he will be stranded in Vegas until PDX warms up. Vegas should be nice this time of year, right? Alright that is it for vegging. I haven't taken any more pictures of Hunter cause when we were coming out of the snow I dropped the camera and one of the sides pops out and I have to tape it together I just haven't fixed it yet. Hopefully soon I will brave taking more pictures with it I am just afraid I broke it.

Maybe!

We will know in a couple of hours if Larry makes his flight from Calgary to Seattle! Praying and crossing my fingers that he does! If he does than he will drive home from Seattle thanks to a co-worker's husband who might pick them up. This flight will determine if Lar gets home tonight or tomorrow! Still snowing in the PDX and once again I didn't make it to work I have a feeling I might not make it all week, which bums and stress me out! But that is another issue in itself! Ready for the lovely snow to melt.

Officially done with snow!

I love the snow but I am ready for it to melt and be safe on the roads! I am hanging out with the in-laws this weekend, which has been nice and I feel safe knowing I am not by myself. But I don't know if Larry is going to make it home tomorrow night and make his flight because of the snow! Or if he will make it home in time for Christmas! Arrgh! I am going to be praying for a warm front to come throught ASAP! We have had snow for a week now, which in itself is crazy and so close to Christmas time, too! So I am officially done with snow I liked it when it came, I played in it and so did Hunter but now it is making Larry not come home! Not cool. Alright I am done venting hope everyone else is enjoying the snow and staying safe.

Playing in the snow!

Hunter finally got to play in the snow! Since it is supposed to be more winter stormy today and Sunday we are spending the day and night on Saturday, Hunter and I are. I haven't taken Hunter out in the snow other than to touch it on the porch. Bad mother, I know but I didn't want to slip and fall all over the place and once Hunter likes something it is hard to get him to stop doing it and he would want to do it everyday! When Larry gets back home Hunter can venture out anytime! Hunter says snow now and knows what it is. Today, he got to play in the snow and be pulled by his Uncle Anthony in a sled he made out of cardboard and rope since the store didn't have any sleds. He loved it! He had never worn gloves before so he wasn't sure what to do with those and would take them off before we even got outside. Once he was outside he kept his hands up in the sled the whole time I think it was his center of gravity. He played out in the snow for about 15 minutes and was done. He had a red nose and cheeks but seemed to have liked it. He looks scared in some of the pictures, but I promise he was happy the whole time and saying wheee. Got out!

I was able to go to work today! It felt so good to drive my car and go to work and hang out with people! I don't hate my job I actually enjoy it alot, but today it was so nice to talk to patients and here about their woes and help them out. I was bummed I had to drive home with snow but it all worked out I made it to Canby and work and home with no problems! Yeah! If I get snowed in tomorrow I will not even mind just because I was able to get out of my house today for more than 12 hours! I totally need it too! I missed hanging out with my little buddy but he needed to hang out with the daycare kids just as much as I needed to get out of the house. He was exhausted this evening and cranky he just played to hard today and it tuckered him out. He went to bed early tonight but for some reason last night he didn't stop talking in his crib until 10:45pm and I was already in bed by 10 pm wanting my sleep! Hopefully, we all get a good nights sleep tonight.

+/- 30 days left!

I have a month or so left of pregnancy! Yeah! I wouldn't mind if she came early even just not right now she needs to cook a little longer and get bigger! I am done with snow!

I had to get out of the house today and didn't care if the snow was still on the ground! I should have braved it to work cause I could have made it once I got out of my side streets and on the main road. Oh well. I packed up Hunter and Misha and we headed up the hill! It was nice to get out and hang out at the stores with all the grumpy, fast paced shoppers! I forgot how congested stores get when you haven't been in the in days! I must have waited for tons of people to pass by me with their cart and not even a thank you for letting them go by when it was my turn and had been waiting for other people ahead of them! I tell you! OK, I am done. We still have snow and the kids are still sledding down our hill and Misha is driving me crazy with her barking at everyone cause of course the kids have a dog with them and she just wants to play with the dog and kids. I have one more day of being housebound, I hope! I am going to try my best to go to work on Thursday I need a break from my house I am not used to being in it so long! It has been fun with Hunter though he doesn't seemed to mind that we are housebound and not going to any parks, thank goodness! Since I have been home so much I have taken more pictures of him I guess that was my deal I wasn't home enough to take them! Here are pictures from last night. He had a fever all day yesterday but no symptoms other than drooling so it must be teeth from what I can figure out cause he was fine and no fever today. I took these pictures when he was in his crib! I love sleeping baby/kids! It means you accomplished another day and they are just the cutest things when they sleep! You can still see his rosy cheeks and he was sleeping in the middle of his crib on his alligator!

I took pictures of him in one of his toy boxes! It is a lovely new thing he does. He pours out his toys in his bins and than sits in them. He is a total boy! He also started saying thank you mama! It is so precious! I give him something and he says it not all the words are right but you can totally tell he what he is saying! I have been trying to work on thank you so it is paying off!

Prego life is going good. Still trying to grow! Since this weekend, I have been waking up every morning with a puffy face and it goes down a little bit but I think I am just going to be puffy face until she comes. My fingers get puffy too, they didn't until the end with Hunter. I can still wear my wedding ring and was able to with Hunter. I would rather have swollen ankles than puffy face and fingers but you just gotta do what you gotta do, right? It also could be from our house being so warm day and night. I am very excited that Lindsey had her baby and I haven't posted any pictures yet cause I took a couple of them but I didn't have the camera set right so I haven't had a chance to see baby Nathan again, hopefully soon! But now that Lindsey had Nathan I just have to get through Christmas and New Years! I am finally starting to check stuff of the list before she comes! About time! Larry is hoping she comes before New Years that would be fine with me. Not that pregnancy has been hard cause it hasn't I just want her to be here, but I am technically not even ready other than she has clothes in her dresser. I haven't even taken the car seat out of the shed and washed it and all my baby accessories like the bobby are in storage still maybe after Christmas I will drag them out. Once I see them it will make me want to be done even more! More snow is coming tomorrow so I am just gonna have to deal with it and spend the time finishing my Christmas cards.

Snow!

We got snow yesterday! It was crazy how quickly the snow came and how icy the roads got. We live 3/4 of the way up a mountain in Oregon City so the only way to us is up! Hunter and I were housebound in the snow and I didn't even take him in it for fear I would slip and slide on the porch steps so we just stood on our porch and touched the snow he loved it! Misha isn't a huge fan of snow since it rubs against her belly and her feet are completely covered. She was barking at every kid that was sliding down our hill such a good protector! But she would bark when Hunter would sleep was driving me crazy! Hunter liked the snow and would open the porch door to let Misha out and in and would stick out his hand and say touch to the snow. I could tell when he was doing this when a blast of cold air came in the house. Maybe that is why he is sick today. Larry's family came and picked Hunter and I up to go the hospital to see Baby Nathan Smith last night. It took him a long time to come! Lindsey and Corey are troopers but we are VERY glad Nathan is here! I am also glad that work called and told me I don't have to come in tomorrow because of the snow! Yeah!

Hunter woke up with a fever last night and he still has it this am. It is so sad to see him with rosey cheeks! We are housebound once again. Bummer! And we can't go see Baby Nathan either! Double bummer! I guess it is still pretty icy here in the OC so I can't drive yet but the snow is really pretty! Here are pictures from yesterday.

Nathan Arthur Smith!

He finally came! Baby Smith is a boy and his name is Nathan Arthur and he was born around 7-ish this evening. He is 8 lbs 1 oz just like Hunter was so it is easy for me to remember! Congrats Lindsey and Corey! She has been at the hospital since I think 2:30am and was in labor since I think 3pm-ish on Saturday. I am bad with details but basically she was in labor over 24 hours. Your a trooper, Lindsey! We are very glad Mr. Nathan is here!

Forts and Zoo lights!

Larry brought out his one man tent for the first time and let Hunter play in it and set it up in the living room. Hunter loved it! I wasn't sure we were going to get him to bed that night but we did! He loved opening and closing the tent with the zipper. He walked back and forth alot and was talking and talking and talking. He has an old comforter of ours that he uses for his forts and we put it in the tent. Everyday we have to make a fort in our bedroom and so we are trying to move the fort to the living room so we can hang out in there instead of our room. We are trying to find things for him to do since he isn't taking his am nap so we got to keep him entertained so this was one way and he loved it! The second picture he was talking his pillow out of the fort cause he was done.
Here is what we do now with his "fort". The fort blanket comes to the living room and we take apart the couch so he stays in the living room! We are getting smarter. He loves it. He drags out the blanket from Larry's closet with an old pillow of ours and we make a mess of the couch. He loves sliding down the pillows. He says up and down when he is sliding he is such a goof. Of course, Misha has to get in the action when there is something new she is always right behind him.

Here are pictures from Zoo Lights. I didn't take many cause it was kinda cold and I was more entertained with Hunter liking the lights so much. The picture with Larry and Hunter the zoo train is in front of them and the kids and parents are waving. That is why he is so zoned. The picture with me is in the farm part of the zoo and yes we are in front of a turkey. Kinda how I felt when I was kneeling down cause it took me a moment to get my pregoness back up. It was a fun night but my hips were hurting from walking around so much in the cold and trying to keep up with the boys who were speed walking! We had just found out earlier at my doctor's appt that we had to do the ultrasound so I was craving anything sugary! On our way home while Lar had the Christmas music on in the car he stopped and grapped us some hot cocoa from Starbucks! Warmed me up and hopefully made me and little Miss grow!

Ultrasound and Christmas picture!

It has been a pretty busy week! I have taken a few pictures I just haven't posted them yet. I will post a couple today and more later. Wednesday night we went to Zoo Lights and Hunter loved it I will post pictures later. He loved all the lights and it was a perfect night not to cold and not alot of people there. We had to do an ultrasound on Thursday night because my belly measurements aren't going along with my weeks. My belly is 31/32 and I should be measuring at 35 and I don't look like I am 8/9 months pregnant. It didn't suprise us about the ultrasound cause I was losing weight with Hunter my last month and we did an ultrasound 2-3 weeks before he was born and he was 8 lbs already! We got the results and Little Miss is 1 week ahead of her measurements and my due date could technically change to Jan 11th! Not going to get to excited about the change in date cause Hunter was late and they changed his after our first ultrasound. I just grow my babies compactly inside me I guess and big. Larry figured out how much she was weighing in at and she is about 5.5 lbs so that is great! Especially when I have 4-5 more weeks to go. She technically could come out bigger than Hunter! Crazy!

Baby Smith still hasn't come! Poor Lindsey and Corey the baby is 9 days late so hopefully baby Smith will come this weekend or soon!

I just picked up our Christmas cards from Costco today. I was going to do a family photo but I was waiting for Baby Smith to be born so when Dan came I could see if I could snag him to take a quick picture in front of a tree and get our cards ordered but Lar had to leave to go out of town and we are still on baby watch for Lindsey. I scrambled to look for a cute picture of Hunter but for some reason I can't take pictures very well with our camera so I asked Annie if she had any. She actually took a picture of him in front of her tree that day and sent my the pictures to my work and I ordered the cards that night! So they will be coming to your mail box soon! Here is what the pictures look like! The first one is on our card.

Gotta jet Hunter is sleeping and he woke me up at 4:00-6:30am for who knows why. Must have gotten cold since it is getting colder outside.

Misha, Papa's work boots, and Scrapbooking!

Misha survived her dew claw trimming! She didn't need surgery they just cut her dew claw back past the break and wrapped her up! Yeah! And it didn't cost an arm and a leg! Here is a pic with her wrap that stayed on maybe 30 min and was supposed to stay on a couple of hours. She didn't want it on obviously. Alright well I guess that picture got deleted in the camera. My bad. Her wrap was cute it was red and white. Here is a picture of her this am. I wash the bedding on Sunday's that is why we have no sheets on our bed. Hunter woke us up at 5:45 am today doesn't Misha look like she is ready for another baby in the house! Not! Poor thing she just need another hour of sleep like the rest of us!Last night Hunter had so much energy for only have one nap and we were trying to keep him entertained. Here he is in Lar's new work boots he had to get for Canada. The are huge! He will be in an area that is -20 degrees so he needs good insulated boots. Hunter loves them and you can see how tall they are! He is so cute in them and yes it was a struggle to get him to stop playing with them.

Since we were up so early this am I was able to finish the last 3 pages I couldn't do last night in my last scrapbook! You read right! I am officially done with Hunter's 2007 scrapbook project! Yeah! I was able to put October through December 2007 all in one! I have no more loose pictures of him in a folder! Yeah! All I have to do now is use a scrapbook set that my mother got from Costco and I will hopefully fly through 2008 before little Miss comes! I love getting projects checked off my list!

Christmas lights!

After we went out to Mexican dinner last night we took Hunter and Misha to PIR last night to see the Christmas lights. Hunter had a great time and as you can tell in the pictures I didn't clean his face very well from dinner. Could have been that he isn't the greatest child to take to restaurants and he was done with being there before we were done with our food. So we chowed and left before he started being annoying to everyone else. That is why his face isn't the cleanest and he wasn't sitting by me so I didn't clean it. Any who! Hunter had a great time we rolled down the window and yes it was cold and yes he doesn't have a hat on but he had to have the window down to see the lights better! He doesn't like hats on in the car so that is why it isn't on. We would open the sun roof when there were lights above us and he really liked those it was nice and bright! Misha looked out the window that whole time and yes her window was open to so she could get some fresh cold air. The heat was on in the car! When we were driving to PIR we were trying to find Christmas music to play on SIRUS and we couldn't find it after listening through all the stations Larry finally found it on a station we would never have known it was on. It was nice to have the Christmas music on the radio and to hang out with our family in the car. It also is crazy that Larry knows almost all the words to every Christmas song that came on and I had no clue! Here are pics of Hunter~

These aren't the greatest pictures because I took them while I was in the passenger's seat with my big ole belly trying to turn and take pictures of them in the backseat! That is why they have weird angles but I tried!

Poor Mish is at the vet's right now getting her dew claw looked at. Her dew claw is cut in half hanging on her paw but in a diagonal direction. She hurt it around Thanksgiving week and we had to wait for pay day to come so we could take her in. Hopefully they can just cut the claw but I am pretty sure she has to have it completely removed with surgery. Will see. She has been limping around here off and on for days. We haven't been able to take her for walks cause she starts limping. So will see what happens. She knew something was up this am cause she looked like the saddest dog ever!

We got a talker!

For some reason the week of Thanksgiving Hunter has found his voice. He would talk before but now his vocabulary has gotten bigger! He loves to talk and talk and talk. Some words you can understand some you can't. He gets very close to saying the word right but not quite. He says up, down, open, close, hot, cold, and my new favorite, no! And all of these words came out of his mouth in just the last few days. He loves the word no and he says it in a high pitch voice it is wonderful, not. I am trying to get him to not say it and not say it so high! When he takes a bath and is swimming he says up when he lifts the front of him up with his hands and down when he puts his elbows down and says it like 10 times! He randomly says hot and cold about 1o times also I think he likes to just say it. He is such a smart cookie. When we take him to the store he says touch cause he wants to touch something. When he sees his milk in the freezer at the grocery store he yells baa a few times really loud and proceeds to say it when the carton is in the cart. He yells bus, truck, car when we are driving. He is such a chatter bug it is pretty cute.
